Compare guestbook services
UltraGuest is a free, ad-free hosted guestbook. These pages set it side by side with other free guestbook services, comment systems and self-hosted scripts, using only what each of them says about itself.
There are still a good number of free guestbook services around, and they make different choices: hosted page or embedded widget, ads or none, HTML in messages or plain text. There are also comment systems used as guestbooks, scripts you can install yourself, and services that have closed. These pages put the facts side by side so you can pick what suits your site.
How these comparisons are made
We describe other services only with statements taken from their own websites, checked in September 2026, and we say where each fact comes from; where a site is silent we write "not stated" rather than guess. We do not rate them, and we leave out anything we could not verify. Services change, so please confirm current features, prices and terms on their sites before you decide. UltraGuest is not affiliated with any service mentioned here; their names belong to their owners.

So that the other pages can be read on their own, here is our side in the same neutral terms:
- Free guestbook hosting since 2003, run independently. No ads, no tracking cookies and no data sales today; if that ever changed it would be announced on the privacy commitments page first.
- The guestbook is a page on ultraguest.com that you link to, or show inside your own page with an iframe of its newest messages; the Control Panel provides both codes.
