Terms of Service (TOS)

This service is provided "as is". We will make every effort to provide this service with no interruptions, but there may be unexpected downtime, or interruptions of the service. We are not responsible for any loss of business or any other damages you may suffer due to downtime or elimination of service.

The following sites are not allowed to use our service:

  • adult sites
  • warez sites
  • cracks/serials/hacking sites
  • hate/racial/discriminating sites
  • any sites indulging in any form of illegal activities

The following is not allowed in the guestbook:

  • use of pop-up windows
  • display advertisement
  • use techniques to trick search engines
  • use stylesheets to remove the UltraGuest footer
  • redirect the visitor using javascript or meta-tags

Members are required to keep their e-mail updated and accept that UltraGuest may send e-mails regarding our service. We do not delete guestbooks merely because they are quiet: a guestbook that holds messages stays at its address for as long as the service runs, subject to the safety, privacy and removal rules in the Acceptable Use Policy. Accounts that never confirm their e-mail address and hold no messages are removed after 90 days.

Content and moderation. Guestbook owners are responsible for the content of their guestbook and can delete any message in the Control Panel. UltraGuest may remove content and disable guestbooks that break these terms or the law, without notice. Material that sexually exploits children, and advertisements or links to it, are removed and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as United States law requires. Anyone can report a guestbook through the "Report abuse" link on every guestbook page.

What may and may not be posted, and how we act on reports, is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. The service is operated from the United States; these terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
