| Message | Nick was one of my clients and there are very few people in the world like him. Genuinely sincere, professional, smart.... just a great guy who loved his family and always wanted to do the right thing. The business world lost a tremendous professional and my prayers go out to Nick's family and friends who are experiencing a much greater loss. He will be missed and remembered. May God continue to bless and keep all of you during this very difficult time. |

I did not know him or his family but this was such a touching story and so heart breaking and I want his family to know that our community (Rancho Penasquitos) feels for this family and what they are going through and send out prayers to you all. God bless you and may he always be with his wife, children and parents always. He sounded like a wonderful man who will be in your hearts always and watching over you everyday. |

| Message | Dear Debi, When your dad called the house last week to tell us the news, we were in shock. This is such a tragedy. We have no words to express our heavy heartedness. We hope that Nick's kind spirit will surround you and carry you through this tough time. We remember the kids playing in the lagoon at Eastake (a long time ago) and Nick talked about cycling. | Message | I worked with Nick at Nanogen. He was hired around the same time I was. We became friends and we traveled together on a few occasions. One of the trips was shortly after I had returned to work after a long bout with Cancer. Nick was so warm and considerate during that whole trip, taking care of me. I was blessed to have Nick in my life. When the news came to many of us (former employees of Nanogen) everyone said the same thing: "He was one of the best people I have ever known". Nick will continue to live on in my heart. |

| Message | Nick -- an excellent 7th grade science student and fellow cyclist -- it's not fair to see the passing of such a fine young man. I remember our paths crossing a few times after Atascadero Junior High School and was impressed at your many accomplishments and the fact that you were also an ultra-distance cyclist. I checked out information about the 'accident' on the internet and am so angry. I will ride on Wednesday in your honor and keep your family in my prayers. Ed |
