MessageI was with the security police squadron from May 78 until nov 83 (B flight). I recognize several of the names in postings and would like to hear more about any reunions planned in the future. my wife Shawn is from Gwinn so we still have a lot of family in the area and of course still visit when the opportunity arises

I have tried to track down some old friends without any luck. if anyone has heard from Sherwood Friebe, Brian Porka or Scott Ritter, these a a few of the several I'd enjoy getting back in contact with. I do remember the names of Pat Shevlin and Fogal as well.

I retired as a 1st Sergeant in 96 and still serve in the federal gov as the Training Division Chief of a federal law enforcement training center in North Little Rock AR.

We started training the USAF Civilian Police in 07 and it's awesome to be reconnected so to speak with the Security Forces again.

Anway, drop a line if interested.

Best wishes to all you old K.I. Siberians

MessageDoesn't anyone who was stationed here in '72 remember the dynamite in the JP-4 tank incident? A disgruntled government employee dropped a wad of dynamite down a JP-4 tank that was set to go off at 32*F but was found at about 35*F before it could go off. I got the hell out of there and went south and damn near got an Article 15 for that. I imagine there would have been no K I Sawyer AFB after 1972 had it gone off. Feel free to email me if you want. I did enjoy my last year in the AF there, for sure! Moved out of the baracks and got an apartment in Ishpeming. Remember 25 cent quarts of beer on Tuesdays at the Congress?
