| Message | I was a dependant at KI Sawyer from 1963 to April of 1968 when we left for Anderson AFB on the island of Guam. I was a junior in high school when we left. My dad, William Maxwell Jr, was career Air Force 28 years and retired in 1978-- he is still going strong and living in Colorado. The last years there we lived at 106 Savage Street. Just wanted to stay that Going to middle school and high school in Gwinn and living on the base was a great time of my life and KI Sawyer will always have a special place in my heart and memories. Thanks for the great work at the museum.  |

| Message | Stationed at Ki from Jan 81 -Dec 86. 410th OMS Tanker Branch, Crew Chief on 60-0349 Jan 81 - Feb 83, USAF Hospital Feb 83 - Dec 86. We made several good friends there and several we knew stayed or went back to retire there. One of which. Walter "Wally" Hultin passed away in '99 I believe, We miss him. |

| Message | I was assigned with the 410 OMS Bomber Branch From Nov.1978 to Aug.1982. KI was my first assignment and I loved every minute that I was there. I lived in Gwinn and still consider it my home.I took my family there last summer and had tons of great memories. Was sad when I heard KI was closed but was glad to see the ol place still has some life as the airport. Thanks for the memories! |

| Message | Was in the 410 SPS from 77 - 84 then on to Malmstrom AFB, Montana(another great assignment). Went through 3 grades from SSgt to MSgt and my B.S. from NMU. I loved this base. Was on "B" Flt Security when I left. Lots of friends: Scott Ross, Mike Burbey, Neal Campbell, Dave Hutchinson, Gary Simon, Scott Ritter - and the list goes on. Was on Giant Sword for a year and the Rifle/Pistol team with Lt Murphy. Bob Thorne and I got kinda wasted and did some more target practice. What a hoot! |
