MessageDad served there 60-67. Personnel equipment for the 101's. He worked NCO club sometimes. We lived at 168 Albatross St. Fished and swam Little Trout many times. Started school on base and then went to Gwinn. Great times and memories.

MessageWe were stationed there from the late 70's to the early 80's. My dad was Steve Justice. Retired a Tsgt. We loved being there as kids and dad made the winter fun as well as the rest of the year. He was in operations. He passed in 2001. We talked and remembered K.I. Sawyer frequently. smilie

MessageI was just a kid when my dad Ret MSGT Jim Edwards was stationed at K I Sawyer from '72-'76. BUT it was the BEST! My 3 siblings also agree it was the best place we ever lived. My dad also ran the concession stand at the base theater & when we were snowed in, he would ride the snowmobile there & open it for the guys in the barracks. smilie

MessageStationed at KI Sawyer 71'-72'- 73'. I was assigned to the 410th Bomb Wg. Worked in Hq Bldg as a Admin Spec, Flt Scheduling
Looking back at it now it was a great experience. I got married while stationed there and our daughter was born there.
We were from Wis, we were somewhat used to the weather, maybe not as much snow. Remember the round orange styrofoam balls we had to put on our car antennas, to make it easy to spot a car at a intersection??
