MessageWhile stationed at my oldest son was born at the base hospital. it was touch and go for about a two week period. But thanks to the docs he made it. They told us he would not be very big kind of a small child and grown adult. He is 6'1" 250 and very big boned. My wife and i appreciate the docs working so hard to help my son.
Also during this time I worked with some amazing guys. We all had each others backs before "I got your six" came about. If any of you read this please contact. Would love to hear from you.

MessageWe were stationed there from the late 70's to the early 80's. My dad was Steve Justice. Retired a Tsgt. We loved being there as kids and dad made the winter fun as well as the rest of the year. He was in operations. He passed in 2001. We talked and remembered K.I. Sawyer frequently. smilie

MessageI was just a kid when my dad Ret MSGT Jim Edwards was stationed at K I Sawyer from '72-'76. BUT it was the BEST! My 3 siblings also agree it was the best place we ever lived. My dad also ran the concession stand at the base theater & when we were snowed in, he would ride the snowmobile there & open it for the guys in the barracks. smilie
