| Message | My heart aches for the loss of Daniel. What a true gift from God he seemed to be. What courage he has taught to his friends and peers this past year and a half. God be with all of you these next few months. |

| Message | Jeff, My name is Kim Yates. My husband is Ralph and our two sons are Ryan and Greg. For many years we brought Ryan to you for hitting lessons. It is because of your patience, guidance and encouragement that Ryan had many successful years as a baseball player. Both of the boys participated in your Saturday baseball camps in the park in Franklin. I remember that no matter how busy you were with all the boys you were instructing, you always took time to stop and give the boys another great pointer. What I also remember is what a great Dad you are. I only met Daniel briefly, but I could tell how close you both were. I have been following Daniel's progress during his illness and I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Both of our boys are close to Daniel's age,so it especially hit me how fragile life can be. There is nothing I can say to lessen your grief, but you are right that it is important to remember the joy that he brought to you and your family in his short time here. While reading your journal over the last 18 months, I feel like I have come to know Daniel and I found myself constantly cheering him on when he would take a step forward and saddened when he would take a step back. I have really learned to admire him. Our family is praying for you and your family during this difficult time. While we are sad, heaven is rejoicing because they just welcomed a new angel in the fold. God Bless. |
