MessageI am Laramie Grissoms grandmother and she's told me how much Daniel meant to the kids and the community. Both my husband and I extend our sincerest sympathy to you. We lost our middle child, our daughter Lee Ann to diabetes 14 years ago; she was just 24. We still don't know what you are feeling, nor do we venture to guess how much pain you are going through now.
From what I've heard, there is a special place for a special guy like Daniel. I hope he meets our daughter.
Please know you are in our hearts and will reamin so forever.

MessageMercer Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I have never witnessed such a couragous young man in my entire life. Daniel was so strong and I admire him so much for his attitude during his fight. It brings me comfort to know that Daniel had such a supportive family during his battle. You are all amazing people and I feel honored to know such an extraordinary family.

My thoughts and prayers are pouring out to you always and I will rest assured now knowing that Daniel is now at home with his Father.

MessageYour hearts are broken, eyes filled with tears, an emptiness only one who loves can feel seems unending. My prayer is for the Lord Jesus to comfort you and that He carry you through the difficult hours and days ahead. By His Grace, may your sorrow turn to gladness, your loss turn to hope, and your pain into joy. His Peace to you always.
In Prayer for you,
Mark

MessageDear Pam, Jeff, Anthony, Joe and Jeff,
We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Please know you are in our daily thoughts and prayers! Daniel was a delight to coach. I will always remember his humor and never ending antics! He always seemed to put a smile on everyone's face. We will miss you D!

MessageThe example of family, courage, and strength that has been shown by you, the Mercer Family, has taught us all a lesson.

We were talking last night about the time we went to Noblesville to watch Jeff’s Bulls game and we heard this deep dry voice announcing over the loud speakers, of course it was Daniel, he was probably 13 years old.

We will always remember Daniel feeding balls in the machine at Rachel’s hitting lessons at the Field House. His “ways” of making us smile and laugh by just being “D”.

MessageI was so sorry to hear about Daniel's fight coming to an end the other day. God apparently needed him more with him than here on earth. You are in my prayers all of the time and your faith and strength encourages me everyday. My deepest sympathy

MessageLike many on here I did not know Daniel personally. My youngest sister Hillary Pool was good friends with him. he was an inspiration to everyone who knew of him and his story. His determination in life and eventually in his passing will no doubt be an inspiration to all those who are have fought, are fighting, or will fight for their lives in this and many diseases. Mercer family as parents you have inspired many others to keep faith, and always have hope even in dark days. You are all in our prayers as you try to find peace in the passing of your wonderful son.

MessageGodspeed Daniel on your journey to the Lord. Your body is gone but your spirit remains to not only comfort but strengthen your family. Worry not for those who remain behind for you will be reunited with them when the time is right.
