MessageHi,

Fabulous website, your photographs are outstanding. I really appreciate your work and also the fact that you give us the history of the buildings.

I first came across your site after a visit to Dromagh Church of Ireland, Dromtarriffe. I took some photos there and couldn't wait to learn about the church's history and your site was the best and most informative.
I also visited your exhibition at the Cork Vision Centre and I have to say it was absolutely brilliant. I just had to get your book for Christmas!!!

I really enjoy visiting your site regularly.
Thank you.
Mary

MessageWhat a dream to stumble across your website. For years I have craned my neck out of the car window as once magnificent buildings whizz past and my heart ached to know their story's and wonder why the greatest scandal was that no one any longer valued these treasures!
How I envy your camera lens being able to see them up close and personal. I can't wait to get my hands on your new book.
Many thanks for sharing so much with us

MessageGreat work! I love the photos of the bulidings espically St. Kevins and St. Annes in Cork. I have a penciant for abandoned bulidings and your website is great for seeing the inside and some of the history of the bulidings that I have wondered so much about for years. Keep up the great work!! smilie

MessageI was given your book for Christmas and have been stuck into since Christmas Day. It's one of the best books I've read in a long time. Please keep up the good work cataloguing all lost houses of Ireland. My grandfather, his father, uncles and most of his cousins, were gamekeepers in various large houses round the country, mostly in Sligo,Leitrim and Cork, and I have quite a good family tree on them. Again thanks for such a wonderful book, and I await you next one.

MessageFantastic Book and brilliant website. You've done what i've wanted to do for years. Every time I've passed an abandoned house i've tried to enter it to get a glimpse at the past , a piece of stucco work, a broken piece of paneling, a scrap of paper, all physical evidence of former residents.
For years I watched Doonass House Co. Clare deteriorate , being borded up window by window, the stone doorcase and beautiful leaded fanlight constantly pelted by rocks, and now reduced to a total wreck by arsonists, such a shame when a house like that could have been saved.
Hopefully this book will alert people to the rot in irish architecture.Congratulations Tarquin.
