Messagewe would like to congratulate you on the wonderful coverage you did on 'our' Woodstock House, Inistioge, Kilkenny. You are a very brave person to enter that building for the wonderful photos you got....a true professional. We already had your book and were amazed Woodstock House wasn't in it, but on discovering your site through a search for sarah fownes of Woodstock, we absolutely forgive you. Brilliant work and well done. Call and see us in Inistioge if passing, would love to meet you. We are in the new Art and Craft Centre just up from village. Many thanks for such enjoyable work.

MessageLooking at these beautiful homes was amazing - thank you for your dedication in allowing us such insight! I have spent hours and hours going through each and every one of them and feel saddened by their state of neglect considering they once stood proud. I would have loved to be the owner of any one of them.

MessageI had the great good luck to see the Abandoned Mansions exhibit at the Cork Museum in November. Bought the book and I'm enthralled. It is fascinating to recreate in your mind's eye what these houses were like when they were filled with the laughter of children, the bustling of maids, the clatter of carriages pulling up... So sad to see them return to nature, sometimes within a decade or two of their abandonment. I'm sure it's an overused simile, but the houses are like once-beautiful young men and women who have succumbed to time and its ravages. Wonderful book, Mr. Blake! Thank you so much for sharing these photos and stories!

MessageAn extraordinary record of Ireland's Heritage which I hope you will be able to expand.
It is also a tribute to your foresight and enterprise, as many of these buildings you show are steadily becoming piles of rubble
May I test your knowledge by asking if you know of any website or book which covers the cinemas of Ireland in the same manner?
Best wishes.........Christopher Ryle

T.B>Hi Christopher, I recommend you get my book 'Abandoned Mansions of Ireland' without this book you are missing out on all the best locations I have documented. Regarding Cinemas sorry I haven't come across any website or book like that.
