MessageThank you, so much for your wonderful book.
I have for many years been watching the decay of many beautiful buildings in my own locality , and have seen at first hand the lack of interest shown by those in power to preserve what is part of our heritage. For when these buildings are gone they can never be brought back . Great work and Thank you again.

MessageAmazing website and great to see someone cataloging these buildings for posterity. I have a small collection of similiar and so appreciate what is involved in this.
I missed that documentary but perhaps it may be aired again.
It is also amazing to find a site with both great photos AND trusted, researched history.

MessageThank you for bringing such a badly neglected subject onto the net and documenting it in such detail.

Having seen how a tottering Yorkshire castle on Channel 4’s Grand designs was brought back to life, there is hope for so
many roofless buildings here.

This country needs more people like you who valve our vanishing built heritage.

Thanks again

MessageI am shocked that there are so many of these wonderful houses in ruins. They are an important part of our heritage, hopefully there wont be anymore added to your collection in the next few years.....

MessageGreat work and every success in the future. Some people are of the opinion that these buildings should be forgotten, given their association with the landed gentry. This view ignores the fact that these houses, albeit designed for the upper class, could not have been built without the dedication of Irish workers. It is their legacy too that is preserved in the publication of this book and the undertaking of this inventory.

MessageWhat you both have done is quite simply awesome. I thought that my late father and I were successful collectors of "ruins", but we weren't in the "hapenny place" compare to what I saw on the Nationwide programme. Your book will be on my Christmas list to quite a few friends. And with any luck, I hope to get to your launch in Cork. That is on the assumption that you'll have any places available.

Well done...

All the best. Nadine.
