| Message | I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to all the guys that served on the USS Spangler. My Dad, Lee Elmore served from 1943 til 1946. He passed away on May 28, 2010 at 87 years old. I was very honored to have taken he and my Mom to the Ship's reunion in Baltimore in 2009. One of the best memories of my life was hearing my Dad talk about being on the Ship and the great bunch of guys he served with. I was honored to meet some of the people on the ship at the reunion. I can see why he enjoyed it so much. To me he was a great guy and the world's best Dad. Keep the Ship's memory going as we enjoy the world we live in because of the effort put forth by the men that served on the USS Spangler. |
