| Message | and Obama, in my opinion, has a more eclectic view, a more inclusive view of the many. If Obama ends up failing miserably, which I don't think is going to happen, but I woud be the first to concede that I was wrong. If it became so bad though, there are many checks and balances in our government, and there's always impeachment. I mean under Clinton, I think he did a good job, and no President is perfect, but they were ready to impeach him for his personal decision to comit adultery. His personal decision influenced his political job and maybe some of his political decisions????? |

| Message | Politics, I believe are influenced by our personal views. How could it not? If you took offense to that, know that I said it with the utmost respect only. I do not want to get into a religion discussion. For example: I believe that gay couples have all the rights of straight ones and that abortion is a choice that should be cautiously made, as it reaps many repercussions. Many Christians, although not all, denounce Prochoice and gayness period due to their beliefs and so they would lean more toward a nominee that supports those beliefs, I would think anyway. I think I am more....I guess tolerant because I don't have a religious mind set. I don't have that education either. Had I had the knowledge of the Bible the way you do, my views could be totally different. I know I do not want to be judged for being straight anymore than they want to be judged for being gay....it's not a choie for them, even though some think so. Medical evidence shows that, but still some religions exclude these people and shame them while others include them. Religion Aside: Everyone comes to the table with so many different life experiences that I think it's unfair to say MY WAY (speaking personally) is the ONLY RIGHT WAY, just because really who knows, it's all what one has learned in life or been taught or comes to believe. So, I remain open and some say that is liberal. I do not think we can solve issues and problems by closing off so many different views........ |

| Message | Do you really think Obama is going to close tax loop holes? I can not and will not defend McCain. I did not vote for him. As long as people keep voting for these creeps because they think one is less creepier than the other we will keep getting creeps. What has my being a Christian have to do with it? We are talking about politics. |

| Message | Pappy, I support Petra in a lot of ways, but her and I rarely agree. I am not going to agree with Obama on everything just like McCain supporters aren't going to agree with him on every single issue. Out of the two choices that I have because literally the independants aren't going to do much, sadly, in my opinion... Obama is the better choice. I don't agree with everything Obama stands for, BUT I don't agree with hardly ANYTHING McCAIN stands for and I certainly can't imagine having Palin as my President if something should happen to McCain. I've watched McCain in these debates and he gets all erractic and annoyed when someone doesn't agree with him. He can't do that as a president, he needs to be open to different views and ideas. Again, it's a different view of our world. You also have the view of a Christian and biblical education, where I do not. I have no doubt that perspective helps you decide on your view point. |

| Message | Pappy, Although you make a very good point, it doesn't mean that they should get these huge tax breaks and loop holes so they actually end up paying less than WEALTHY people. We are talking the super rich. Yes, it's their money, but because they can afford to manipulate the people who run our system than we, the people, who pay our taxes (54%) should just except that and move on. No way, so how does one decide how much people should pay??? Who pays what Pappy? And I think you are misunderstanding me....I'm talking about taxes....this isn't money going in MY POCKET, it's going to government. We are talking about taxes that pays a deficeit in our country among our military and other things government do...this money doesn't go to my pocket. On the subject of Obama and his mob....it's a matter of who you believe and really they are all politicians and it's very hard as an average citizen to take in loads and loads of information and process it in any intelligent way; especially with the constant attacks and accusations. You have to go with the information you have and because people are so different, they are naturally going to view things differently. |

| Message | Who is saying they want anyone's money? Obama is. "Let's spread the wealth around" is the way he put it. Do you think he was talking about his money? Your support of him means that you need to either explain that or explain why you are supporting someone you disagree with. |

| Message | You cannot bring prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich. You cannot further brotherhood of men by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves. |

| Message | They do pay a higher percentage in taxes already. Obama and his mob are rabble rousing when they say they do not. However, it does not answer the question about why they should pay more. For that matter why should any of us have to pay any. If it is really government of, by, and for the people it could exist on voluntary contributions. |

| Message | Trish I could quote things that back my perspective too, it doesn't mean anything...but I do agree with this quote... "You can't get rid of poverty by giving people money." -- P. J. O'Rourke Absolutely brilliant statement.....EDUCATION will get rid of poverty. I think welfare is way overrated and it ticks me off when a healthy human being sits on their bum and foregoes work because they've manipulated the system for that check. Who's saying they want anyone's money???? I don't want your money or their money or anyone else's money, but I also don't feel like making them any richer by them recieving all their tax brakes because they have the money to support special interest groups and candidates, which will create policy to give them those loop holes. If I have to pay that 54%, so should they, no exceptions. We will have to agree to disagree here because I just don't see it the way you guys do, at all. |
