| Message | My sympathy to the faimly and friends I never meet the man but from what all his fighters say about him before his untimely passing I believe that Shawn was a great man and great human being for the way he treated everyone the world of MMA has lost a great ambassitor and Coach. |

| Message | I had a chance to meet Coach on the street in Montreal at a past UFC event. With scores of people stopping him every 10 feet to meet with him, his 10 minute walk from the resturant back to the hotel probably took 45 minutes. Every single person got geeted with a huge smile and a firm handshake. His humility and sincerity is what sets guys like Shawn and most the MMA community apart from other professional athletes. He will not only be missed by the fighters he trained into world class athletes but every fan who had the honor to meet him. |

| Message | Shawn was a super one of a kind friend. When you trained with Shawn you became a friend. When he was in your corner win or lose he helped guide you through the fight and stood by your side. I will never forget the hours of training the fight that I won because of his skills. He would say "listen to me when your in the ring and you will win." Now I am no UFC fighter but the kickboxer he made me into is still inside of me. He got into your head and he will always live on in my heart. His friendship was bar none. Always there to listen, and give you the advice he thought you needed to hear. And he always had a spark he could light up the room. And he was funny loved to joke around. He pushed me to do my best and knew how to do it pushing me by driving me crazy, he would make me mad sometimes but the training was that much better. I will miss my friend, he was loved and respected by all who knew him. My heart goes out to his family. Love you Shawn, you will never be forgotten not ever! |

| Message | I want to extend my sincere thoughts and prayers to the entire Tompkins family as well as his close friends. I never had the privilege in meeting Shawn, but I always felt his warmth and care through the stories I've been told. As this tragedy has unfortunately fell upon us (family, friends, and his many followers) I want to personally wish the Tompkins family my sincere apologies for this tragic loss. Shawn, we'll miss you. Rest In Peace, friend. |

| Message | Though I never had the honor of meeting you, I am deeply saddened.You were the true defenition of a coach.You never gave up on you fighters.You were one of my favorite coaches because you treated your fighters like family.Out of every single team in mixed martial arts yours was the only one I thought had the true family connection.I wish I could have met you.You seemed like a real down to earth person.You seemed like the perfect combination of a professional,yet huge fan of this great sport.I know your fighters will make you proud.I don't really understand death,it's so mysterious and sudden.The only reason I can see for your death is if God needed to be trained by the best.God bless you, your family, and your family of fighters.Rest in peace Shawn "The Coach" Tompkins.
