MessageHi Tarquin,

Just been introduced to your site by a friend tonight. Fabulous original work and so interesting to see inside some of these places. I have to ask you, and I dont mind the results, but did your tale of the sprit house really happen or was this fabricated to tie together a spooky series of Photos?

Regards,

Sarah Bayliss

MessageExcellent website and great work that you have done.
I think you'd be interested in an amazing ruined estate house at Craughwell, County Galway, just down the river bank not to far out the town
Good luck with it. Baz.

Messagethanks for a great site and I have only viewed a small fraction thus far. I am originally from Roscommon and was delighted to see Summerhill house photo on site despite it being demolished.
Again, many thanks

MessageHello Tarquin,

I have been a fan of your site for over a year now
and I think it is one of the best on the net. I thought I knew the Phoenix Park as I grew up there but I never came across Phoenix house before. I know a house called the Phoenix which stood on the site of the Magazine fort it was gone around 1733 the fort was was built between 1734 and 1735 it was then extended in 1801. I was wondering why Phoenix house has been removed from the site.

MessageTarquin,
I stumbled across your enthralling site today by just googling Ballintubber Castle, Co Roscommon where I played Kings and Queens in the 1960's - that was hours ago!! What a fantastic job you are doing..... Best of luck with the project and your book. Josephine

MessageFantastic Site, You are really lucky to live in such a fantastic country.

I recently spent 3 days in Rosscarberry(Co. Cork) and was hoping to revisit Castle Freke after 13 years, but alas it is now in the hands of a private owner.

Have you ever thought of visiting Wales?

{T.B. Hi Jason. Yes Castle Freke, home of the Earls of Carberry is being restored by one of the Earls' descendants. Too late to see the ruin. The place is looking very fine already and hopefully when the restoration is fully finished it will be something really special}
