MessageHi there! I wish I knew this page when I lived in Ireland, so many interesting places, but there's always time to come back smilie
I lived in Cork at Atkinshall, Our ladies Hospital, as called in the past. For some people a strange, scary place, for me absolutely great, I had really good time there. It was a kind of love at6 first sight, when I saw the building one rainy and gloomy day I decided to live there, so I did.Sometimes I had a repeating dream with the same creatures (dont believe in ghosts) but even for one second I didnt feel bad with it. It's the building with a very sad history, read a lot of reports in the Cork Library. I cant explain why but I felt happy there and it will stay in my memory forever. I miss this place and I miss Ireland a lot. smilie

MessageI stumbled on this website through a link from the lost heritage site

Finding this site was like a trip to my youth, as the fascination has never left.

The site is now book marked, and will be visited often.

MessageBrilliant website, although tragic to see that so many amazing historic houses were deliberately destroyed during the Troubles; I understand the passions behind it but not the logic.
