| Message | RM3 Boot Camp - Bainbridge Md. Jan-March 1957 Class "A" Radioman School-Bainbridge Md. 1957 USS Cormorant MSC 122 - Sasebao, Japan '57 - 58 USS CONSTANT MSO 427 - Long Beach Calif til 12-59 Went in on a "Kitty" cruise; two days before my 18th birthday and was discharged just before my 21 birthday. I had passed the RM2 test but was discharged before the new rank took effect. Spent a few more months in the reserves and got to sew on my RM2 patch for just a short time. Would like to hear from any of my old shipmates. |

| Message | My father served on the uss boston ca69 as a radio operator during wwii. I have a question that i would like to ask. Does anyone know where i can get a picture of the radio room onboard the uss boston ca69 that was taken during the war? I have been searching for this for over seven(7) years now to no avail. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have some info. Thanks Brian Connelly |

| Message | hi started rma school bainbridge md 59 graduated feb 60. first ship was a icebreaker out of boston. code in and out. copied w dsbcst washdc and norfolk then switching to cfh out of halifax ca they would send military one hour and civilian for a hour. when in port we had to guard own bcst since most of the ships went to tty at 60 wpm uncovered. although we had one tty and a ura8 converter we could not set it up. tbk tde and taj those were our fxmitters. rba rbb rbc were our receivers. all fun. rm ret usn |

| Message | Navy 1955/1964, Comphibron 3, Comphibron 1, Harbor Defense Unit 1, USS Point Cruz CVE119, Was on the USS George Clymer APA27 with CPR 3, and USS Henrico APA45 with CPR1. Put USS Point Cruz CVE119 out of commission in Bremerton Wa 1956. Obtained authority, with testing, to use Speed Key (Bug) on all naval circuits in 1959. 40 WPM code proficiency award 1955. (was active ham at 14) Not seen anyone that I knew but that has been many moons ago. Enlisted March 7, 1955, (Kiddie cruz) Discharged December 3, 1964 |
