MessageI just wanted to thank you for making The Wrestler. I haven’t seen a film that conjured up this many emotions in years. It was difficult to watch at certain points because it was raw and real. I heard one person describe this film as salt on an open wound and I would have to agree…but it was absolutely brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Mickey in a well deserved role. Everything fell into place for this movie. I was left sitting in the movie theater with tears streaming down my face. And the springsteen song was the icing on the cake…such a nice touch at the end of the movie. You did an incredible job and have an immense amount of talent. Thank you for sharing with the rest of the world. . .

MessageJust wanted to say: The Fountain is an amazing film. Beautiful, powerful and resonant. I get something new out of it each time I watch it. Its both one of the most personal and universal films I've ever seen - The Fountain is truly one of the greats: thank you!

I'd love to hear your Fountain commentary, but I noticed the link to it is down - any chance of getting it back up again?

MessageI'am writing to you to find out about The Fighter. What is the latest on filming the movie? Last I read in Dec.2008, was that Brad Pitt will not be playing the role of D. Ecklund and filming was put on hold.
The reason why I'am terribly courious is because I'am an actress from Lowell, born & raised!! I know all about Mickey Ward, and his family.
I would absolutely love the opportunity to audition for you to play a role in this movie, possibly even Mickey's girlfriend, hopefully the role is not cast yet.
I believe that with my talent, knowledge of Lowell,of Mickey Ward & not to mention my accent, that I still have, who better to fit into this movie. I would be a great asset to this film!
I would be more than happy to send you my headshot and resume. Looking forward to hearing from you. I Thank you for your time.

Warm Regards,
Monique Angeline

MessageI think your movies are really amazing. They are so brilliant and the way they are edited, especially Requiem for a Dream, are out of this world. I want to be a film director/writer as you are and when I heard that you went to Edward R Murrow, which is the school I attend, that there is hope for me to make my dream come to a reality. I have done some short films already with my friend with my digital camera. I love making films and I hope to make it my profession and I was just wondering if you had any tips for the future. Thank you.

MessageI saw "The Wrestler" this past week, and I must say that it was one of the most deeply moving and bone-chilling films I've ever had the pleasure of setting my eyes upon. I've seen "Pi", "Requiem..." and "The Fountain" as well (all were brilliant), but this latest film really drives the nails home. God, the perfomances you manage to pull from any actor in your works is breath-taking. Hell, I bet you could get a bum off the street and get him to play a heroic, troubled five star general in a movie about WWII. I've followed your work over the past few years, and you never fail to disappoint me, as a member of the audience. In fact, you never fail to do anything short of incredible for me as a lover of movies and movie-making. I patiently await the next piece of wonderfully crafted art that surely rests within that dementedly talented brain of yours, Mr. Aronofsky. Best wishes and sweetest dreams.

Your fan,
C.
