MessageGreat workx

Both Pi n Requim inlfuenced me as a kid, Fountain as an adult.

Woodering if the early movie "Protozoa" is still available for purchase someplace.

If not a simple -NO- would suffice.

Regards

Messagei am 63 years old, and find myself writing my first fan letter to you, and your leading actor, mickeyrourke, for a beautiful, nuanced film,THE WRESTLER. never once, did you dip into the maudlin or the simplistic. there were so many defining moments in the film-the scene where ram does autographs and pictures with others from the past, the dance with his daughter(did you think of carnival of souls for that scene?), and , of course, ram'sfinal speech to his "family."not only should mickey rourke have gotten best actor, you should have gotten best film. thankyou for such a moving experience-i look forward to you both working together again. leslie saunders

MessageTonight, I finally got to see the wrestler. Considering that you are my favorite director of all time, I am ashamed to say that it took me months to find time to get to the movie theater. Needless to say, The Wrestler did not disappoint. The style of the film was different than your previous works, but it still had the same effect on me. I left the theater certain that I could never forget this film. It has been the same with Pi, Requiem for a Dream, and The Fountain. I am the type of person that forgets what a movie was about within a month of seeing it, but I can remember every scene from these three films. In my opinion, these are what films should do. They should remain with the viewer for years. I still remember the brain from Pi, the jarring final scene in Requiem for a Dream, Izy's death in The Fountain, and I am sure that I will remember the shot of Randy about to do the Randy Ram in the final scene.

I am 16 years old and I am very interested in film. I spent the summer studying film and hope to major in film in college. I can only hope that the movies I will make in the future will be as moving as yours have been. They have profoundly affected my life in ways that I never though a movie could. Only after watching your films did I realize what a film is meant to do. Thank you.

MessageDarren you did it again, a few years ago my close friends and I watched PI religiously. Probally over 60 times, one of my favorite films of all time..
I just recently saw The Wrestler and I must say this is another movie of yours i fell in love with!
I am amazed that you managed to get all that emotion in last scene, i have analyzed it and am just amazed.

Best of luck in the future, thank you for the entertainment...
