MessageAlthough this site is indeed run by someone else, this is to you, Mr. Aronofsky. You are a genius. I am awestruck by every single film you put out. I am a film major at Valencia Community College in FL, and I swear you are like my God - You are my inspiration. The Fountain has been my favorite movie since I saw it (after seeing Requiem, which was my favorite previously), and tonight, you blew me away once again with The Black Swan - You left me speechless sitting in an empty theater 15 minutes AFTER the credits rolled. I am so amazed by your vision, talent, and overall AMAZINGNESS (i know that isn't a word but you deserve your own word) Honestly, If I knew your address, I'd write you a letter right now about how amazed I am by your films. Thank you for the entertainment, and the constant flow of creativity and inspiration. You honestly are my inspiration. Please, continue on, I don't think I can see another movie again unless it's made by you.

I can't say it enough, Thank you for your films.

Danielle Fernandez.

MessageDear Darren, I just saw Black Swan, and found it absolutely brilliant! It had a strong 70's noir feel, and was completed riveted! I loved Requiem FOr A Dream, one of my top ten films-ever!

I would love to work with you somedday, and would like to invite you to watch Shadow Boxing 2 (aka REVENGE). I am with the Levin Agency.

Sincerely,
Victor Herminio Lopez

MessageWe produced a great "Requiem" parody called "Requiem for a Date." Check it out on youtube or at paulridecomedy.com, It's pretty hilarious. Also, stoked for Black Swan, looks amazing. Now please, Robocop...

You can view it on my site breakpixel.com I couldn't include a direct link because they aren't allowed but it's on the first page you land on.

Cheers,

MessageDear Darren,
Well all I have to say is wow, you've impressed me again.
I saw your "Black Swan" last night and I must tell you... in one word "POWERFUL" but then again so are your other movies. I was so impacted by the film that I felt that I simply must ask you what has inspired you to bring incredibly stark portrayal's of the darkest aspects of the human condition to the screen? I was especially moved by "Requieum for a Dream" as it was filmed near where I grew up - Manhattan/Brighton Beach
(You grew up in the area as well? - my mom has told me that she knows your mom).
Now with your "Black Swan" a veritable documentary which catalogues a gifted dancer's descent into madness, I find your work and that of Miss Portman nothing short of genius.
These accolades aside, I have two more questions which I would like to pose to you if I may.
In the "Black Swan" is it my imagination or was there some intimation or undertone that the character of the dancer's mother besides being controlling, may have also been sexually abusive towards her daughter(Natalie Portman's charater)?
As the dancer becomes "unhindged" I almost knew that the mother's painting's would "come alive" as they subsequently did in your incredible and scary animated montage.
My second question is this: May I send you samples of some of my orchestral music which I have composed in hopes that you may find my abilities worthy and afford me an opportunity to work for you on some future project?
Sincerely,
Brett
