MessageHi mate

Not normally prone to emotional indulgence over the web, but I just have to say - you're my favourite director. Style is innovative, plots are intricate and creative, narrative is heartfelt.

F*ck the big dogs, stick to your guns.

Big love.

MessageDear Darren:
I got to u through PI,first time...
After I was very surprised when I new u liked too my favourite writer: Selby Jr.
So... "Requiem"was great for me...
Funny thing!
Hard to believe that somebody who made a film like "Pi" would win The Oscar, not so long later...
That brings hope to the people we enjoy movies and that we love dreams...
Go on like that man, this world needs people with clear mind & good intentions...like u

MessageDear Darren I'm a sincere fan of your work, Pi, Requiem for a Dream and the Fountain rocked my noodle! I wanted to ask you something, what is the brand or makers of the Fountain Pen that Izzi gives Tommy near the end? I'm a hardcore old fashioned generation X writer, and last night while I was watching the Fountain again, I re-discovered the scene and to be completely sincere I'll love to buy a pen like that for X-Mas.

Thank you for all of your work Darren, you touch lives with what you do of heart.

Sincerely yours,

Iván Castro.

MessageHey Darren,
I have a lot of respect for your work in the film industry, and I think that all of us at UCA Farnham in Surrey, England, would love for you to give us a lecture sometime; it'd be extremely inspirational to all of us.

MessageHello,

I am a student cinematographer in NYC, curating a film festival at The New School in NYC called "First Features."

I am showing Darren Aronofsky's first film, "PI" on Nov. 12th.

The festival has been running since January of 2010 and will continue to run indefinitely at the University. The goal is to show early work from some of the most acclaimed filmmakers of past and present. Many thanks to Darren for inspiration from this amazing film.

-Chris

MessageI love the way you present your world. Although, in all honesty I would not wish to share in the same creative force that shaped it. I do not think that I could handle the weight of it. Then again I don't think you would want to carry mine either.

Dreams are the nightmares you see, in colors only you can imagine.
