MessageHello Darren,
Thank you so much for The Fountain.
Thank you and your whole team, for this movie has so much : bold endeavour, strong rendition from your actors, moving music, splendid imagery and timeless narration.
You sticked to your ideas despite the setbacks. Your film is a challenging act, a masterpiece and Time will prove you right.

Im currently completing my Acting degree here in singapore and i was pleasently surprised by your comments that working with the actors was the most exciting and creative end of making films.

MessageYou are amazing, and an inspiration. Im currently studying the media arts at Broome Community College, and you and your films are always at the top of the list of amazing and unique films with complex symbolism in the department lounge.

MessageHey, I'm a fan of your work and am so looking forward to the Ward biopic. Are you familiar with D-Tension? If you're gonna do this film justice you must! He did Micky Ward's theme song, Micky used it on the way to the ring for his big Gatti fight and at least two or three others. The only place I can find it is Micky's Myspace.com/irishmickeyward . That's my boy from Lowell! Represent!

MessageHI,

Ive seen requiem and the fountain, and liked by far the first better than the second. the second wasn't too bad, but I thought it was too needlessly baroque and new age. the first was more honest, less artifical, and ellen burstyn's acting was memorable. Your work remains very interesting and valuable, I just think its hard to keep essential or to have a baroque style which stays "real" (see Fellini). Keep it up though, I think your best movie has yet to come. dont let the big budgets kill your originality.

MessageHey Darren,

Just wanted to sign your guestbook since all of your films have moved me in a way that has changed the way I look at the precious gift of life. However, the fountain I believe is your greatest master piece yet, words escape me when I attempt to talk about your film. It is the one movie which has opened my eyes so much. I want to thank you for showing people that movies can go so deep and touch your soul and dont have to be regular hollywood style films which merely entertain us. I hope you continue making astounding films like The Fountain, and if you have time drop me a line with a email. I would love to hear from a film genius like yourself. Hope to hear from you soon
