| Message | In my opinion nobody has had the full movie experience until they see a movie by Darren Aronofsky.... twelve, fourteen, number? Letters? Look to the left, im looking right. minds jumping to and fro, back and forth, listening, learning, im taking in.... but numbers, letters....where did it begin? what was first? man or sin? footprints? footsteps? lifes kaleidascope collides and closes in. So many thoughts in so little time...... but dreams, visions.....are anything devine? do they all? will they all? summon them all? who are they!!! when were they! are they us? are you me? realisation of falsified truths? how many more.......just stop. close. listen. breath. wonder. wonder......always always wonder. question and poise and seek to gain. lifes admirations, lifes misdemeaners. look at it all, seek to know. | Message | Coming from Toronto, I'm a wannabe filmmaker turned editor and I just wanted to say that your films are an inspiration to those who appreciate originality, creative difference and emotionally charged cinema. I also want to say that I thought The Fountain was easily the one of the better films of that year. I know you took a hit on the reception in some parts and at the box office but I hope you continue to stick to your guns cause there are few filmmakers like you and we so we desperately need you to keep up the fight. Congrads on The Wrestler, and I wish you continued inspiration and strength to purse the films you wish to make. Cheers. |
