I think Allison and Sarah are driving down with you and me to the shore cuz they are gonna stay one nite down there. I just found that out today and I was really upset cuz I just wanted it to be me and you driving down. I wanted to be the first person you saw and talked to about your trip. I guess it will all work out but I still really wish it was just us. I love you soooo much and you better give me a huge hug as soon as you get home. | Message | JP - Okay, I've been good for a day or two and have managed to refrain from the nagging notes, but we really would like to hear from you this weekend. How many will be going off to other parts, and how many will stay with the group? I was a little concerned that those of you not making special visits might be left a bit at loose ends, but it sounds as though you'll be as busy as ever. You are going to be one exhausted guy by the time you get home. But with all the hiking, you should also be in good shape for marching band.  Nothing new really. Dad had his field trip today and,as predicted, it did turn out to be one of the hottest days of the summer so far. Humid, too. Bet you're glad you're where you are (for many reasons, I hope). So, anyway, hope you're having a terrific time. I'll remind you again to call Daniel for his birthday (20 - yikes!)We plan to head up & take him to dinner this weekend - Sunday, probably. | Message | Hi, Jon -sorry I couldnt talk longer with you today, but it was good to hear from you. Hope you'll do something fun during the weekend, no matter where you are. Sounds like you got some good falafel and hummus in your most recent visit. Good luck finding a tallis for yourself. Rebecca had her matinee performance today. I couldnt go, but Mom went and said she did a good job. I'll see the show tomorrow(Friday) night & Saturday as well. This was right around the time last year when you came home from Galil & my dad also came to see Rebecca's play. I felt a little sad today thinking about that, but am grateful that my father was able to enjoy Rebecca's show, be at our house & see you. Phils (57-51) won today 10-6 to split their series with the Cubs and now head to Milwaukee for 3 games. Werth & Coste both had 3 hits. Injury bug struck yet again as Lohse got hit in the arm by a line drive in the 1st(!) inning and had to leave. Dont think it's too serious, but Phils can ill afford many more accidents. Coach Eagles called yesterday (maybe he wasnt sure when you'd be returning to the US) and Rebecca took the call. I called him back tonite to see if there was a message. He wasn't home, so I left a message on voice mail. When I hear from him I'll let you know what's going on. Your facebook messages include notes from Dan Kane, Eitan, Mira Preston, Jason Howard & a few others. Call us this weekend. Amy will be with us on Saturday & part of Sunday. Love, Dad |

| Message | For Caryn Stark Bus #2 Hey Caryn, Hope you're enjoying and that all is well. I know Saba v'Savta were so thrilled to speak with you--Didz too. Sorry to have missed! I had a great time seeing Joey last weekend. He can say everything and wanted to know why I call Saba 'Daddy'! He was such good medicine for both of them--and a soothing balm for me, too! Speaking of soothing, this weekend Betty and Carol are taking me away to celebrate my last year's birthday. We are going to a jazz festival and a spa (guesss they know me a little bit). So this has been all planned & then I learn Nora is coming home for the weekend and will bring 5 counselors with her! 3 are from England and have never seen DC. I am preparing a Shabbat meal in advance so all they will have to do is reheat it to get things going. I will miss seeing them! I can't wait to see you again--enjoy your days there!  |

| Message | Sara, I just had to share Leah's latest letter with you. It's actually pretty funny. I tried to call you to share it, but you didn't answer, so I figured I'd write. First, the outside says that "Danielle said she was only being nice because she likes me." (I assume that is as opposed to because you told her to.) "Pele apologized and is kind of trying to do better." I thought that was pretty funny! But wait, there's more inside. . Towards the end, she says "A lot of people know I'm 'Sara's sister' now. Ruth said she was on Toranut with Sara a lot and she wants to put me on Toranut as soon as possible to see if I have 'the genes' that Sara has to do a really awesome job on Toranut." I tried to call Yony to read that to him, but I got his voice mail. And you were worried about being labeled as "Saul's sister" in school?? Look what Leah has to live up to! She's a great letter writer. You'll have to read them when you get home, because some of them are pretty funny. We love you! I suspect your free weekend will be over by the time you get this.
