| Message | Dear Morriah, Hope you had fun in Jerusalem. Esther bought a macbook, which came with a free 4GB ipod, which she didn’t need, so she gave to me, which means that I can start compiling my collection of 60's geezer music, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to hook it up to all those vinyl disks. Mommy says your white shoes are good as new, whatever that means; I assume it’s code for something because it is beyond comprehension that you could be steeped in the ancient history and modern mystery of Israel, making 160 new friends and expanding your social and intellectual horizons, yet still give a rip about shoe color. Your little cousins came for a visit to stay 5 days with B&P, but they flamed out after two, and B had to fly them home early, then flew back the next day and needed to be sedated with wine. Esther is still working in the office, but refuses to take a bus that would require her to walk a total of 4 blocks per commute, so she ends up paying about 20% of her salary for parking, which tends to drive mommy up the wall but (let’s face it) surprises nobody. The weather’s been pretty nice here, and I’ve been biking to work about once a week. We haven’t had any hornet problems this summer (I guess they decided to leave us along after last year’s massacre), and so far it looks like when you return the house will be the same color as when you left (I’m not sure that’s good news). We love you and miss you very very much. Love, Daddy |
