MessageHi Kendrele:
Well your adventures in Israel are coming to their end stage. I know it must be difficult to realize that the time has gone by so quickly. It is always that fast when you are having fun. I realize that as I will be celebrating my 80th birthday on Tuesday. That is an awesome number and I really look forward to our family gathering in a couple of weeks.
It has been brutally hot here and I am so grateful for air conditioning. Bubbie and I just hang out at home and short trips in the car and avoid the steamy out doors. Of course, I will probably yearn for them in February.
Bubbie and I send much love. Miss you and can't wait to hear all of your stories about the trip.
Zadie

MessageDear Shera,
How are you. I am so happy you made to Becky's house for Shabbat. It was also great to talk to you. I received the e-mail. What a poet. I will save it for you to read when you get home. I am also glad that you finally got the knee support. If you are still in killing pain when you get home, we will have to get it checked out. The schedule says you will be traveling to Eilat, Massada and the Dead Sea this week. After I spoke to you Saturday morning, Nancy called later on. She says hello. On Friday, Lori , Colin and Glen came over and asked if you were back yet. They were going to Walden Pond this weekend and wanted to invite you. They have been spending most weekends down on the Cape fixing up their new house and wanted a change of scenery. Mikey says hello and purrs you. I've tried cleaning her ears a couple of times and its been difficult. Hope your enjoying the warm dry weather of the south and have lots more time in the water to stay cool. Lots of love and kisses Mom

MessageDearest Lilly, So Sorry I have not written. I've been in Dallas,TX visiting Keith's family. We did get to see the Elsners (they are the ones who paid for yarmulkas for your Bat Mitzvah). They were very happy to see us. Roy will try to come in with is grandson, but Essie is going to New York with their daughter Susan. We went to Shabbat services with them. It was lovely.

While I was in TX, I got a call from the hospital in Three Rivers. Elliott had to go in for an infection on his leg from a bug bite. It is worse this year than ever. He is okay, on antibiotics and a cream to take care of the wound. What a surprise smilie for me, but we'll all live through it. He is going to the lake house with the Salzmans, so won't be here when you get home. Remember school registration is early Monday morning after you get back. We get right into full swing of things so hit the ground running. We need to shop (oh dear) for clothing for the Bar Mitzvah, assemble bags for the guests, dip cookies in chocolate, etc. Hope you will be willing to help on it all.

Did you enjoy your free weekend? Who did you wind of visiting? Did you get ahold of any cousins? I figured you still went with Olivia since I was not asked for any further consents.

I'm tired from travel, so need to go.

I miss you and hope you got all my little notes I packed in your case with coins.

Loads of love and hugs, Mom

MessageHey Jon, great to talk to you today. We can't wait to see you next week. update: Phils rallied in the 9th inning to beat the Brewers 8-6. Hope your last week in Israel this summer is absolutely amazing. Kellie's Sweet 16 is at a Chinese restaurant in the shopping center where Five Guys is. I will get her a gift certificate from you so you'll be good to go. We're painting your room this week. It should look great. Spent this morning with Amy who talked a lot about herself and Laura--I enjoyed it, though. She went through a lot of Grandma and Poppa's photos. Bex printed up a cute little brunch menu and we served Amy fresh squeezed orange juice and pancakes and fruit. Laura and Ashton are officially broken up...he vacates the apt. in a month so Laura is staying with Amy until then. Max, Sarah, and Jake are coming over Tuesday evening for a barbecue and a Wii tournament and to help Dad put his super bowl programs on e-bay. We will definitely miss you that night! David and Ryna are coming for dinner Wednesday night and they always ask about you..."how's JC doing?," David always asks. Jeff called the other night to talk to Dad... he made Dad promise him that he would go and see the Simpsons movie--Dad said he had no interest whatsover, but Jeff insists that Dad will yuk it up big time. Dad worked all wkd...he's exhausted and has fallen asleep. It has started to rain(it sounds beautiful) and Bex is calling me to read her a bedtime story. We love you. Mom

MessageHi Josh -- We were so glad the visit went well. Aunt Ruth called after she dropped you off to report on what a nice time they had with you. She told me about the party on Friday and that you got to meet a friend of Grandma and Grandpa's. I guess it really is a small world. Bubbie will be in New York when you get back, so you will have quite the welcoming committee, and Peter and Martha want to come for dinner Sunday night. We are ready to get you back, even though I know you would probably like to stay forever. Enjoy your last few days. We all love and miss you. M&D&H&I&W

MessageHi Sweetie

We are getting down to the home stretch... Mom is getting all sorts of lists for things to bring to Israel. I have asked Michael Kanter where we should pick you up from.

I hope you and Will enjoyed your stay at Moti and Shoshi's.

We all went to an Adat Shalom village picnic in the park, where Buzz had fun trying to get us wet with water balloons.

Love

Mom, Dad, Buzz and Gilly

MessageDear Kobi,
Just got back from visiting with Mayer and David. We drove out through hilly dairy country for an hour. Ended up at a vaudville hall from the 1890's that's been restored. David had told Tish the story of planning this event since he visited Mayer in the hospital this winter. She very sweetly dedicated a love song in Spanish to Mayer. By the time we got out, it was dark and we got lost on all the farm roads. Went through East Homer, New Woodstock and Upperville. Both of them, and Dalia and Mara send their love.
It was great to speak with you yesterday. I am looking forward to the stories.
Love, Aba

MessageHi Kendra - I hope you're having a great trip! This summer has shot by. Sara and Dana just finished their last day of day camp and now we're trying to plan things for them to do before we all get together for our family trip. (By the way, don't forget that Tuesday is Zadie's 80th!). We're looking forward to seeing you and hearing all about your trip. Ariel is lucky that she has you to pave the way for her! Enjoy your last week, have a safe trip back and we look forward to seeing you. Love, Steve, Debbie, Sara and Dana

MessageHi Eitan:

You probably heard by now that Bonds tied Aaron, in San Diego. If you get to yahoo you can see the Padres announcer, and at sfgiants.com you can hear the Giants' call. Pretty cool. But since they're home this week and away next -- which is just the opposite of you and me -- there's really no chance we'll see 756. Oh well, next time.

I hope you really enjoy your last week in Israel. I'm sure you wish MBI went on even longer, but I'm sure looking forward to seeing you.

Love,
Abba
