I hope you are having an absolutely wonderful time. I'm sorry that we didn't get to say goodbye after MBI weekend, I fell asleep while talking to Yelena's parents!!Yikes!
Anyways, I can't wait to hear all about your MBI adventures. Don't forget to do something you shouldn't, just once!
See you soon, and be well!

MessageHi Gaby.
We made it back with surprisingly little trouble. Unfortunately, I found that the freezer door was opened, so I got to (finish) defrosting it while unpacking. Josh says he'll be coming home tonight or tomorrow. He's bee4n working in the mitbach at Na'aleh. He says that although the work is too hard, people say the food is now better. Mom and I are going to ask him to cook dinner for us, although we might have to invite 50 people over too smilie

Although it is cooler here it is real muggy. I'd advice you to enjoy the lower humidity of southern Israel while you can smilie

Love Dad

MessageHey Lenny!

Forgot to remind you that if you see something that strikes your fancy in Israel, don't hesitate to buy it for yourself as a belated birthday gift from us. Don't be shy and don't worry about $'s.
I'll be sure to reimburse you or your parents.

Lots of Love,
Isabelle

MessageHey Lenny!

Didn't realize you were going to stop in at the Dead Sea again on the way down to Eilat. If you get a chance to actually go in the water, do yourself a HUGE favour and wear something on your feet when you wade in and walk down the ramp rather than in from the shore. Those sea urchin spikes are a killer if you happen to step on one and it'll ruin the last few days of your trip.

According to the blog, you're returning to North America and arriving in New York at 5:30am, which means your body will still be feeling like it's only 9:00pm. Then, you'll eventually fly from New York to Vancouver, and get to experience an additional 3 hours difference. Basically, you won't know whether you're coming or going, lol. Skippy will be able to tell time better than you!!!

Sophie Dawg update: I dropped my lunch plate today, and we have now established that Sophie quite likes garbanzo beans, even when they're plain. She obviously has a touch of Sephardic blood, lol!

Today is B.C. day, which means Moshe and I are the only two people in at work. I love it. The phones don't ring. No interruptions. I am getting sooooooo much done!

Well, Lenny, take full advantage of this last week in Israel. Remember, you have to carry those memories of Israel for quite some time, unless you can talk your parents into a return trip next summer, lol.

Take good care of yourself and enjoy the balance of this wonderful trip!

Much Love,
Mo, Is and the Sophster

MessageHi Joc!
Happy Birthday to you! I hope you are having fun where ever you are! We picked up Dylan on Saturday. Left here at 6:30, stopped for an extremely quick breakfast, and got to his camp at 9:45. We watched him juggle during circus (amazing trapeze, rings, rope, unicycling from lots of other kids!) He told us that Independent Lake is now the best camp to go to to learn circus acts! We watched him wipe out and eat dirt BMXing! His counselor said that he is amazing and has enjoyed BMX for the whole time he was at camp. He put on all of his safety gear, joked that he could wear a full face mask. Went around the track once, twice, three times, and the forth time he slid right on his face! Ouch! Thank g-d for the whole head helmet he was wearing as it could have been worse. He got up laughing and all bloody- but it was fun to watch him fly through the air off of the hills! Poppop was happy to see him yesterday, but it does not look good for Poppop - so call your fathers phone the next time you have a chance so that maybe you can talk to Poppop. Otherwise, things are good here - can't wait to see you next week!
I love you and miss you! Feel better!!!!
Love,
Mom smilie smilie smilie

MessageHi Noah --- the blog continues to be the most exciting thing that I'm reading these days. It's great to be given an outline of where you are and what you're doing. We'll need to hear hours and hours of details once you're really here. We've been having a good long weekend. We went to Cowichan Valley on Friday for some "wine tasting" and for a walk along the Cowichan River trail.

We spent most of Saturday painting the front steps and the back decks. Dad spent this morning finishing the job while I was at work. Painting decks is tons of work. You're lucky you missed it - though it was kind of fun, too. One less chore that we'll need to persuade you to do when you get back to Victoria. I wonder how you'll want to spend the final 2 weeks of summer? ... we'll figure it out once you and the boys are all home.

I've told Camp Miriam that you'll visit on the Tuesday after you get home. Dad should be able to drive you. We'll see. It would be a long day if you had to take the bus. Yesterday we were too sore to do any painting so we took Lucy for a walk around Thetis Lake and then went downtown to listen to some free live music and then had supper there. Sophisticated city living with all of you guys not home!

I don't have any more days off from work until after you guys are home. I'll probably do a solo trip that first week, for a few days and then we'll go camping somewhere, as a family.

We miss you and are counting the days until we see you! love, mom

MessageHi Will, how are you? I miss you and can't believe that I will be seeing you this weekend, I suspect I am more excited about that fact than you are! I hope you are having a great time and soaking up all of the amazing experiences of Israel, I want lots of stories!! Today is my first day back at work, I got back from Ocracoke last night, not too late. I watched an Israeli movie that I had ordered from Netflix, it was called "Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi", and was about a 16 year old boy who took care of everyone in his family while they ignored the fact that he was a math genius because they just didn't pay him much attention. It was a good movie, you might like it. I hope you've done some reading...if not, better start. I love you tons! Sam will be home this week for a couple of weeks before school starts. Love, Mom

Messagesmilie Hi Julian,

I hope that you are having a great time so far this week. It will be so exciting when you travel south and go to see the Dead Sea, camping in the desert and swimming in the Red Sea. I am so jealous. It is is unbelievably hot here, but not the dry heat you have there, horrible humidity, it is hard to breathe. Anyway I can't wait to see you, enjoy your last week in Israel. Don't forget to send out those postcards to the postcards if you haven't already.

Love Mom
