I hope you are having a wonderful time!! Your Mom told me you went rafting in the Jordan River - what a once in a lifetime experience! We can't wait to hear about all the other neat things you got to do.

MessageHi Lilly smilie

I hope your free weekend was as good as you hoped.

Papa and I are now getting the house ready for the visit from cousins Eileen and Norman.
I prepared a huge lasagna for the entire family to have here (hopefully outside) on the Monday after the Bar Mitzvah. Most probably, Uncle Sam will be here with us too. smilie

You have so many good things to look forward to, both on the rest of your trip and once you get back. Enjoy it all! smilie

I hope to at least speak with you next week.
Much love, Bubbe

MessageHi Noah,

Can't wait to hear about your adventure when you return to Victoria. You will arrive home much wiser, but you will still be your grandma's little sweetie. Hope these comments don't cause you too much embarrassment.

Hope you are well and that you have a safe trip home.

All our love

Grandma and grandpa.

MessageHi Honey,
It’s was so great to get an email from you and the pictures from Yariv. Sounds like you had a terrific time with Racheli and her family. It’s also amazing that you got to see Noa, Michali, Yael, and Shaked. I am totally impressed. The email for camp is through Samantha Cohen at [email protected]. Just specify it is for Maya. I called Michael Kanter in NY to make sure they would try to fix your glasses. Hopefully you are making do with your contacts and sun glasses. Daddy’s coming home tonight from India with lots of trinkets for all.
Can’t wait to see you next week.
Love,
Mommy

MessageHi Caryn,
Hope you're doing fine--I had a great weekend with Carol & Betty. We went to a nice place where there was a jozz & blues festival and also had exercise classes & massages. Perfect for yo' momma. In the meantime, Nora was home with 6 other counselors for the weekend. I barely saw them, although I fix up a Shabbat dinner in advance--that's a first for me! Then when I came home Didz & I went to see the 3rd Boune movie, which was v good. I hope Harry Potter 5 is still in theatres when you get back! Have a fantastic rest of your journey, LOVE U

MessageHi Daniel,
You asked this morning about the schedule for the return home (and I forgot to include this in my previous note). We have not yet received details on this and expect to get final information later this week. But, per an earlier email, you are scheduled on an EL Al flight that is scheduled to arrive on Sunday, August 12 at 5:30 am at JFK (I think Olivia, Jacob and Jeremey also are on this flight). They will let us know when, where to pick you up. And, while I mentioned in my earlier note that Dad and I may go somewhere Friday/Saturday, we of course will structure things so we are at the pick up point! We are looking forward to seeing you and hearing about everything! Hard to believe the trip is in its final days. Do take care.
Love you, Mom

MessageHi Leya!

Your bonim friends all say hello - especially Shayna and Sofie and Janet - they all miss you and are looking forward to seeing you at camp next week. We were there for shabbat and got to hear all about Shayna's bee stings - omg, omg, omg. 5 of them!

All is well here. Mom gave Tissue a spin in the hammock this morning - purrs were very loud.

Hope you had a great visit with Sivan. Can't wait to hear all about your adventures.

Love Dad and Mom (Aaron too - he is having a great summer at Miriam)

MessageHi Hon:
I tried calling you but got the voice massaging.
Maybe you will be able to call me back, maybe not.
In any event, I hope you enjoyed your "free" time with Aunt Mona and company. Did you see the movie Saturday? I hope you did not stay up too late finishing Harry Potter. Leanne, who is a big fan, has finished the last book and was raving about the story and writing.
Remember that the south of Israel is even hotter than the northern half. Mind, 4 days last week and coming up over the next few days our temperatures are hot and muggy with both heat and humidity soaring. Papa and I went to Kepemfest yesterday and dinner-theatre Saturday night-Mysteriously Yours. Planning to walk Taste of the Danforth next weekend. Otherwise only the mundane- work, cleaning, organizing, laundry.
Miss you.
Love- hugs-kissses- Mommy

MessageDear Kendra,

Although poetry is a fading muse
And strange for uncles so to choose
In Israel emails; it seems perverse
To adopt the straightjacket of verse
When otherwise I could just write
Advice, (like – aisle seat on the flight).
But prose is really so passé
For the avant guard girl born in Narberth PA
That I decided to take a creative chance
And see if couplets would enhance
The splendor of uncle inspiration
And deepen uncle cerebration
To niece while touring foreign nation
Who cherishes avuncular creation.
Here is my advice, my dear
(Kendra rhymes with nothing, clear?)
Be careful when the sauce is hot
Though fresh pita will absorb a lot
Wear sunscreen and an ample hat
Don’t trust boys who say “I’ll help with that”
Sing Hatikvah to the flag
Don’t trust boys who dress in drag
Climb Masada early on
Don’t trust boys who say “but summer’s almost gone!”
Be careful climbing not to fall
Don’t trust boys, well – at all.
I love you, come home safe and sound
Israel’s great, but we love having you around.
Love,
U. David

MessageHi Jazlana!

I'm presently in the SF office and the weather is awful! Doesn't matter. I'm inside all day. Maureen and I are leaving for LA tonight and I'll be in the LA office until very early Thursday AM.

Please tell all of the loyal Mets fans that Tom Glavine won his 300th game last night in Wrigley Field, Chicago. It was wonderful and I got to see the game on ESPN from my hotel room last night! By the way-- the Mets acquired another second baseman, Castillo last week because "Pepe" is on the DL again.

REALLY BIG COINCIDENCE-- I think a girl who is on MBI with you-- Sarah Bressler-- is the daughter of Artie Bressler-- a very good saxophone player that Daddy and I used to work with. You need to ask her if, indeed, her Dad is the saxophone player. UNBELIEVABLE!

By the way-- I'm feeling so much better!

Well, I love you and take care, my sweetheart.

Love and kisses and hugs,

Mommy
