MessageHi Vicky! i enjoyed reading your comments so much! thank you.

Ah so you caught that! I'm pleased it came through and thought it was a neat idea to have both Legolas' parents essentially doing the same thing Elrond and Legolas do: try to protect the other from some new worrying idea. yes, he should tell them and quick. the twins can't hide in the woods by their house forever. fireworks is right! wait till you see what finally draws them from cover.smilie

ok, i promise to resolve the Elured and Elurin scenario. you're right, Elrond deserves to know.

about how much legolas has changed: i think the initial shock was experienced when they first encountered him and we didn't get to see that, so i am putting it in a little here and there. hopefully, legolas can come to terms with this himself, for we haven't yet looked at this from where he stands. that is upcoming very soon.

i think legolas was tempted to do just that for a minute or two! but he doesn't know the twins all that well. they are still coasting on the newness of the bond they've consummated. what he shares with elrond has already lasted beyond that initial euphoria. i know, i haven't really talked much about how that works so i will try to have legolas bring it up so we can take a look at that. with his personality, he's bound to feel guilty about how well things are working out with the twins.

so glad the house was a hit! it's my favourite too. thanks again! smilie

MessageJust some more thoughts now I've had chance to read through the new chapters again...

It didn't register before that both Thranduil and Rhûn'waew have already detected Legolas' bond with the Twins - they just haven't worked out what it is they are sensing. I hope Legolas has the sense to explain before they figure it out, but I don't have a great deal of confidence that he will. I can't wait for the fireworks!

I also want to know about Elured and Elurin. Rhûn'waew is obviously holding something back there, but that seems unfair, considering they are Elrond's uncles. I hope you'll reveal their fate soon.

Seeing Legolas through his parents' eyes is rather poignant. Although Thranduil exaggerated the case to test Elrond, for the first time we're able to see just how his injuries, followed by the years of Legolas feeling he was no more than Elrond's bond slave affected him. I like the fact that we're seeing flashes of the 'true' Legolas, although it seems Elrond still needs time to adjust!

The Twins' house is still my favourite bit of the new chapters. I want one! If I was Legolas, I'd be sorely tempted to leave Elrond and move in permanently with them smilie

MessageThanks Dawn! Glad you enjoyed the update and I promise a fitting finish to Aras shenanigans. he's such a dweeb, but i will at least give him some viable reason for his grousing, though it will be mighty slim at that. he's just mean, but somebody has to be.we need somebody to kick and hard for all legolas and elrond have gone through to get to this point. oh yes, the twins and thranduil are going to be a volatile combination. we'll see if they have inherited their Adar's gift for diplomacy and tact. thanks again! smilie

MessageA triple feature, wheee. Can I throw Aras into the dungeon, perhaps kick him when he's down? Don't know where that scroll went, but I might have a few ideas. Can't wait til the twins met Thranduil (I got the cameras rolling for that scene). Waiting patiently for the next round of delicious chapters.

MessageMore great feedback smilie

Vicky: wonderful review thank you! yes, i had trouble getting my mind around bringing up big brother, too, though it could pose some interesting scenarios! Rhûn'waew's inability to sense the child will be explained soon; i might make legolas and elrond fret but their relationship provides enough challenges and i doubt it could survive loss of the babe, even if they didn't fade. Glad you like the way the twins are coming around! they are nearly fully healed and since their relationship is much longer than legolas' and elrond's, it is much more stable. they are good role models for the young wood elf, if he will only listen. you are right about legolas and his many secrets! he should know better, but we've seen his track record now, haven't we? and oh yes Aras would have a field day with that one. you take care too and thank you again!

Kort: ah feud. sigh. i will try but can promise no more than that. glad you enjoyed the update! yes, Aras is just asking for it. good news on the internet connection! i'm still going to the library and using the connection at work. sorry the folks ar your work are giving you a hard time, people are so ignorant sometimes. hang in there! thanks for your compliments, they are just lovely and make my day smilie

MessageI just got done reading the three new chapters and loved them. I am glad Elrond told off Aras.

I was excited to find such a major update since I have been without internet for a while. I just got a roommate who insisted on having internet and since we are now splitting bills I can afford it. Side note: having a male roommate who can cook (since I don't) is great. Unfortunately since it is a coworker it seems everyone wants us to defend ourselves for moving in together. Stupid people join the present, males and females can be friends and live together without sleeping together. I also pissed off the girl who is crushing on him, but oh well.

I can't wait for another update. You have to be my absolute favorite writer for LotR and tied for first place with a lady named Tricia of favorite slash writer of all time.

MessageIt was worth the wait to end up with a bumper treat of 3 chapters to read in one go!

So Rhûn'waew is expecting Galbreth! Although this was a shock to Legolas, I think that this is good news. As you pointed out, Legolas doesn't always think things through and I don't think he'd considered the strain that would be placed on his relationship with Elrond by the mind-boggling situation of giving birth to his own older brother! Especially considering that yet again he has demonstrated his difficulty with communicating openly with Elrond. So I'm glad this is a new soul.

I am worried by the fact that Rhûn'waew can't sense the baby. I hope we got reassurance on that soon.

I love the twins' house! It sounds perfect. I'm so glad you were able to incorporate the flashback concerning what happened between Legolas and the twins in these chapters. Elladan and Elrohir are rapidly improving in my eyes smilie

I wonder if Legolas thinks he can keep his bond with the twins secret? I can't see how he would be able to fool Rhûn'waew. But I hope Aras doesn't find out - I can't see him accepting it quietly.

There are so many more details I'd like to comment on, but I'm running out of characters! Maybe I'll comment later when I've read it through again.

Take care!

Messagei went over it all again and now i am worried: why rhun-vaew can't see her grandchild? elrond is not going to get twins again, is he?, or will the child choose mortality too?
and the hint about the arranged marriage and how legolas was carefully not given that bit of news: i have a feeling that aras will use it to hurt him again.
and the twins... ah i love them and the way they act when they are with legolas, in a way they are more intuitive and suit legolas better than their ada.

about the child name: my vote for galurem, i am a fan of the dragon prince of balrog!

MessageCeren Cae: Thank You! I am so glad you enjoyed this update! i admit i'm having a hard time deciding how thranduil will react to the twins, but i think he and rhun'waew want what's best. surprisingly, he might find many things he and Elrond can commiserate about as time goes on. we'll seesmilie also glad you don't mind looking inside each one's head (Legolas and Elrond), felt it's important to remember how different they are. and i too think Gladhadithen is one of the best characters i've developed. she's great!

Stef: oh thank you! yes, i don't know even now if there is too much here, not enough, or if it fits together all right.glad you agree with Legolas sudden insecurity over the child. i remember feeling that way too. your thoughts on Arwen are tight on target. she was worried about how deep her father's feelings for Legolas were, and now she has proof that they are real and true. I think she will be a stabilising influence on the household, which is not functioning quite as it normally does. and i think you're right, she'll feel better knowing her father has someone by his side when that day comes and she tells him of her love for Aragorn.

Messageoh my! that really was something! I read the whole three chapters last night, but have to read all another time!!
great as always, i think i understand now your problem with details, you covered a lot in these last pages.
i also understand how legolas feel when i was pregnant i spent nights on end wondering if i was ready or not to have a child.
and the little scene with thranduil and rhun-vaew was quite endearing!
on with arwen arrival now, i hope she will not blame legolas for her adar illnes and for having conceived a child without her adar consent.
i think most probably she will be happy, knowing that his new mate and child could sustain her father when she finally will announce she chose mortality to be with aragorn
