MessageLove the new "holiday" banners: they're wonderful. And I hope you get lots and lots of hits and reviews for "Snow Scene" now, as it's so adorable and just right for the season!

MessageI finally found the time to read Snow Scene, and oh, what a heart-warming, magical story! I enjoyed this so, so much - you have a real gift for writing young children. This is not cloyingly sweet but just perfect for a winter evening, and I've fallen utterly in love with your little Legolas - I want to steal him and keep him! *g*
I also really loved that this was the first meeting of Legolas and Gimli, and how it mirrored their behaviour in LotR - that from mistrust and misunderstanding due to the different cultures, in time a friendship grew. Now I wish I could put on brôgbôd myself and walk through the ice palace...

MessageWell, it all showed up (very pretty by the way) but it wouldn't let me scroll. I probably just have some ancient version of IE.

MessageVicky: thank you! smilie I am glad you enjoyed it and were surprised to learn the real identity of the 'shape-shifter' smilie so pleased you felt the child's reactions were true to life, too. he's rather a lonely child for all he has such a huge family. smilie

cerencae: oh i'm glad you enjoyed it! smilie yes, a warm and soft story to gentle us into the next story - it will be a bit rough. smilie

i am worried that you could not view the html version, though. what were you able to see, if anything? the page is supposed to work for IE6 and up. smilie

MessageAH! O my Gosh that was the Sweetest story ever.
I loved it. My heart is all warm now.
Thank you for writing Snow Scenes and sharing it with us; it is just perfect.
Also, I couldn't get the pretty version to work on my Internet Explorer (still haven't switched to Firefox, I know, I know), so I read it in the files.
Anyway, soooo sweet. I loved it.

MessageAww! Snowscene was such a charming tale! I was so surprised when the 'Beorning' turned out to be Gimli!

You really managed to get into the head of a small child - I just melted, reading about his acting out his fantasy world. And the cross-cultural misunderstandings were priceless.

Just lovely!
