| Message | hi stef! merry christmas.sounds like you are had a wonderful day with your son. it is so much more magical when experienced through the eyes of a child. my granddaughter is 3.5 so she was really excited this year and it was so much fun watching her reactions when she opened gifts. yes, the dark aearlinn was the prototype.i took what i hope worked and made it into something better. you are so kind and thank you for those glowing praises.i,too,have been itching to give legolas to elladan for a long long time. in a way, though he will share with elrohir, he willhave legolas. i don't know why i have such a hard time making elrond be good, but i have yet to manage it  maybe someday i will be able to, but for now i agree with you, as written he does not merit legolas at all.thank you !  |

| Message | Merry Christmas! i hope you are having a good day, mine is wonderfdul: my 2 year old boy is so happy that i feel this is the best Xmas ever! It was a surprise and a pleasure to find the second Xmas fic some days ago, i took my time to read and I loved it, though I prefer Aerlinn regular universe. it was good to see how you developed one of prototypes for this story (anyway i think you can wite everything and the result would always be very pleasant). I have alwsays had a thing for Elladan and here he is simply great... elrond does not merit legolas. thank you! |

| Message | ebbingnight: oh yes this one was very dark, much the way i would write for Feud only with so much crammed into so few chapters,the effect was much more shocking on the the nerves.thank you for those fantastic compliments! you never let me down and i appreciate so much that you trust me enough to follow me into the shadow-world. if elves have nightmares, they must be like this story. i know, it is so hard to forgive them when they hurt Legolas so, but he always does, and in this case so did Thranduil. what's interesting is that in 'regular' Aearlinn, he is not quite so willing to let the Imladrians off the hook. (to be written) caren cae: thank you! i love Elladan too oh that library scene, you could just tell Elrohir had been nursing that little fantasy along for quite sometime. he had it all planned out to the past detail, just as you said.thank you for noticing. it is always hard to cover the details in something so short,for me, and having the characters discuss it helps that along. yes,the Aearlinn 'regular' version is much more readable. Imagine if Alagos Oraearon was as long, chapter after chapter of that sinister and skewed Imladris. Could it have been much longer before Elrond gave in to the temptation to use Vilya in order to force his sons into giving Legolas up? oh yes, i held back, horrible as this was there are things left out and places i did not go. and of course,imagine if Thranduil had NOT stopped Aras and war broke out  |

| Message | Ok, done now! Wow, that was very intense. And Dark. I agree with Ebbingknight; I definitely appreciate regular Aerlinn, or the characters rather, a lot more now. It's definitely interesting to see what could have happened. I like the way you set up the beginning in the library a bit like a play. The characters discuss some backstory and outline their plan, and then hide so they can wait for it to come about. It's really well done. You have such great ways of writing timelines, in all your stories. And I adore Elladan. Thanks for sharing this with us! |

| Message | Hello dear, Your new story (the "Dark Aerlinn" AU) is *very* dark indeed, but it does help me appreciate the "official" Aerlinn even more. And I believe that Esteliel will really like it because she does such wonderful AUs for her "official" Anestel 'verse also. You're such a good writer, even when you take me places I'm scared of going, like this one. My problem is that, as a reader, I'm just not as forgiving of past abuse as is our Wood Elf Prince! (And, yes, you did give me fair warning, but you know I just can't resist you...) |
