| Message | I am the daughter of Samuel Frankhouser who was stationed on the USS Spangler in 1943 (I believe). Does anyone remember my father. His grandson, my son just retired from the US Navy (subs) with 20 yers under his belt and I know Sam would have been proud. I anyone has any stories about Sam i would live to share with our son. My Grandfather Eugene Hamblin, who has since passed away served aboard the USS Spangler During WWII.To date Him and I are the only people in the family to serve in the military. I want to put together a shadow box with Spangler memoribilia as kind of tribute to my grandfather. Sadly no one in family knows where his personal items are.
