I can say that I grew up on Spangler, went aboard at 17, came off before I was 21. I lefty 5-54. A lot of the guys I served with are now gone but I remember a lot of them . Kimbrell. Biess,Hitt,Baum, Bard,Duncan. These are just a few of RDs that I was priveledge to serve. My greastest honor was when poutof the blue 10 years ago I received aphone call from Lt Burt Huls, my ops officer and later XO. To be rembered by him after all those years made me feel proud of my sewrvice. I maintained contact with him until he passed away a couple of years ago.
