| Message | Hey guys. Great website. I am finally going to quit working on airplanes. Going to quit Lockheed Martin on 10 July 2009. Just reviewed the site again. Makes my heart go pitter pat. I can't remember so could someone send me an email describing what snow looks like or a nice picture of a few snow piles or drifts. Cold here is 50. It did snow here (Panama City FL) one day in 1980 something. It lasted hours and we were all stranded. Hello to everyone at McGuire, Duluth, and K I Sawyer that had fun with the F-106 and the 11th and 87th and 539th FIS. McGuire Oct 1956 to March 1960, 539th Duluth June 1964 to Oct 1969, 11th and 87th KI May 74 to Sep 77, 87th Drop me a line and we can talk about old times - [email protected] - John Branda |

| Message | Served as the Ground Safety Manager from 1986 to 1988 when I left for another job. Lived in Gwinn. Anyone reading this ever know Dot Vick from Civilian Personnel and what may have happened to her. I know she went to work down at Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin but I lost track of her. Please feel free to e-mail me. ![]() |

| Message | So many memories! I was stationed here from 1985-90 in FMS and AMS and last served in QA. I was there when the B-52 "Black Widow" crashed.. terrible day, but so thankful all survivied. KI was an awesome base, even with all the snow, we snomobiled to work and we skied all the time. I even raced cross-country on our lunch hours! Its great to see the museum saving history there. I live in Ca, last stationed at Castle. Still part of my heart is at KI Sawyer. I too restore old planes-please visit our site at www.wingsandrotors.org keep up the work!! Long live the BUFF!!!!! |
