MessageI found out about KI Sawyer while eating breakfast in Gwinn in late September 2013. Visited the museum and had a good look at the B52 and the fighters. They are in excellent condition, thanks for all the work maintaining them. My Dad was USAF WWII through 1966, and we on and around USAF bases most of my young life. Museum is nice, and staff there very knowledgeable and friendly.

MessageWas my first assignment, late 1965, worked in Personnel, 410 CSGP in the SAGE Bldg. Worked for Phil Henri. Looking for anyone from that time, esp Lt Bill Mahoney who helped me a lot. Had a girlfriend, Lois Laforge, from Diorite (other side of ishpeming). Was one of the few who didn't want to leave there. Left in 1966 for Wright Patt. 27 years later, retired here in Fairborn Ohio as a CMSgt. Good, but fading memories of those days at K.I.

MessageI looking for a picture of the KC-135 steam jet. 1970's pictures if available. I tried looking on your website and page would not load.

I flew as a boom operator in KC-135's from 1975 till 1982. Then on to the KC-10 until retirement in 1996. Thanks.

MessageE-4 Sgt. assigned to 410 Security Police Squadron from 10 Oct 1978 until 30 May 1982. I worked with the Recovery Team when F-106 590101 crashed in the Ottawa national Forest near L'Anse, Mi 19 Jul 1979.

Also worked a crash of an F-4 from Duluth ANG (can't remember the date, but it was cold). That crash was near Baraga, Mi. around the same year.
