MessageHello Roger,
I was scanning through e-bay and ran across an apparent mint condition Heathkit HW-8 QRP transceiver. The current bid is $199.00. Cosmetically it looked brand new. This probably means that being a kit it didn't work and was put back in the box and forgotten about. Anyway I ran across your video and found it very informative. Let me know when you do your video on your TS 520 SP. I have a TS 530 SP and I'm sure it is very similar. I like electronics but my expertise is structural engineering.

MessageJust read your page about the PF8. As I remember it when Bodie and Doyle used it on The Professionals it always worked in full duplex mode which was quite ahead of its time! I think we used to joke that the industrial designer had previously worked on the Philishave razor.

Your blog on the web based software defined radio is an eyeopener for me. This could really open up diversity reception or make talking to yourself seem slightly less insane.

MessageDamien,

The best thing is to look at amateur mobile rallies or on eBay. You may be lucky.

MessageHi Roger,

Very informative site, I just read your post on QRZ about the great contact into Germany on 1mW. Very good going my friend.

I run QRP myself (see pics on my QRZ page). I have not got into QRPp yet, as I do not have the antenna efficiency at my home QTH to perform such miracles!

Hope to work you on the air sometime. I am very active on HF CW/SSB. Keep up the great work!
