MessageDear Jimmy,

Just a note to say our family truly enjoyed your musical ministy at Tecumseh NE on Mar 13. What a combination to hear the wonderful message of the old songs sung with glorious harmony!
We appreciate the "GOOD OLE" piano accompaniment! What a piano player you have with the group!

Most importantly thank you for your clear gospel presentation. We will attend again if you are back through southeast NE.

MessageHello Jimmy, I am writing to let you know I have been a fan of the original Blackwood Brothers quartet and am a fan of all the wonderful gospel singers.... I grew up in Akron Ohio and had occasion to see your Dad perform many times along with J D Sumner... What a blessing!!! I am glad you are carrying on with the gospel in music...I have three of the green large drinking glasses that my Dad bought yrs ago.. The glasses have the original Blackwood Bros. pictures and signatures. Just thought you might like to know someone still treasures items as this...God Bless you...

MessageJimmy,
It has been a very long time. The best times were when Sue and I came to hear the Blackwood Brothers sing and then would grab something to eat before everyone parted ways - until we all met again. I am sorry that Pat, Cecil and James are no longer with us - but I know they are in a better place. I hope that I can attend one of the concerts in Florida this month. Until we meet again.

MessageMr. Blackwood,

I currently sing with the Missourians; a Southern Gospel Group from Southwest Missouri. The reason I am writing is I was wondering if you remember the Blackwood Boys? A friend of my family, IKE HALL sang Bass for a short time before his lost his life in service of our country. I used to go to the Shrine Temple in Springfield MO and listen to the old groups: the Statesmen and the Blackwoods. One nite there was a singing and a talent contest; the one that IKE was discovered I guess. He sang with a quartet from Eudora/Walnut Grove Missouri.

I always wondered what kind of impact he would have had on the SGM ministry.

If you have time we would love for you to visit our site: themissourians.com

MessageMy friend and I thoroughly enjoyed your concert last evening in Bluffton, IN. The songs were very special, especially the older hymns. I have to tell you, your rendition of "O, What A Savior" exceeded the Cathedrals, especially the tenor part.
Keep up spreading the message of Jesus.

WNUY -(Bluffton)would play your new CD when available.

Sincerely,
Mary Jo Troxel

MessageJimmy,
We aren't much for this email and letter writing stuff but we just want to let you know we really enjoyed the Blackwood Brothers concerts in Newton and Des Moines Iowa on June 10 and 11. Your selection of songs and presentation of the gospel through the music of your very talented quartet is moving, touching, refreshing and certainly brings praise, honor and glory to God. One quality that your quartet has that, in my opinion, is becoming a rarity is diction...the pronunciation of the words. I really noticed this when Wayne sang the first verse in "Oh What A Savior" and he pronounced "heaven" as "heaVEN" and not "heaVUN" as is so often heard. I realized I had been hearing that quality from the very beginning of the concert. Thank you for continuing the Blackwood Brothers reputation as we remember it from the past. I see you are in Newton IA again in September and we hope to see the Blackwood Brothers again. There is one song I heard you and your dad sing together that is a favorite of mine because of the writer, the message and the story behind the song..."It Is No Secret". May God bless your ministry wherever you may go.
