MessageIt has been just over 12 months since I found your web site, and it has allowed me to re-establish contact with my family after about 18 years. Thank you again. My email has changed to mjcauser@bigpond.net.au if anyone out there remebers me. I was known at school as Jack. To Mr Packer. My dad worked with yours for many years on Fredville Estate. He still lives in the village at Roseville, Easole Street, not fat from the Royal Oak. Thank you again, Michael.

MessageI'm looking for a former student. She would have started physiotherapy courses in 1983. Her maiden name was Alison McCombie. We went to Wellington School together, in Ayr, from 1976-1979.
My address hasn't changed in 25 years.

MessageHi. What a fantastic site.

I have very close connections with Nonington, on both my mother & fathers side. my grandfather is 94 & is still living in st marys close. my fathers mum & dad lived next door until they passed away in 1958. their daughter still lives there. my father and his parents are buried in the grave yard opposite the church. My fathers surname is Hanagan and my mothers maiden name is Webb. grandfather webb's parents were also from Nonington. Many cousins and aunts & uncles have been married in the church as well as many christenings.

it has been a real experience finding out about the early days and history, & even though i was raised in Aylesham we were always vsiting Nonington every week.

Keep up the good work and thank you.

Mike Hanagan smilie

MessageHello everyone in Nonington. Good to keep up with what's happenining in the Parish from the Magazine thanks to Doreen Dabbs. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday, 15th August, The Feast of St. Mary.
I was in Kent last week to celebrate our Ruby Wedding with the family in Ditton. They put on a surprise party for us. We keep our caravan in Folkestone now so I hope to be able to get to see you all when we are up from Cornwall before too long. I'd love to hear from any of you if you have a moment spare or please give us a call if you come this way for holidays. God bless you all. With love Valerie & David Perry.

MessageWell, if anybody reads this I wanted to say that I was a student at Nonington College in 1978. I only stayed one year as I realized I didnt want to be a P.E. teacher after all so I took off with BUNAC for the States and never returned.
I have very happy memories of the village, especially the pub where I blew most of my local authority grant! I loved the countryside being a city boy. One night after alighting fom the pub steps I decided to "borrow" the ice cream sign from outside the local shop and it ended up outside our dormitory. The next morning I was forced to return it by the head of the college.
I returned for a quick visit in 1994 but it had been taken over by a religious group so I couldn't really get on the grounds and re live my memories. Oh well!
You're OK Nonington-Rock on!!

John

MessageI attended Nonington College for 3 years from 1967. I lived in a bungalow close to the college with a lovely lady from Lancashire called Beartice Onions. She had a son called Alan. I wonder if anyone remembers the Onions family.
Fabulous 3 years of my life and I am still teaching out here in Canberra but due to retire soon.
