| Message | Just found the Nonington web site - great to see My Dad, Walter (Jim) was the local coal man for many years. I was born in 1 Church Villas and lived in the villae until I married in 1967. I still love to visit and walk around the village. I'll be back! |

| Message | Nonington College of P.E. gave me a whole new outlook on life! I went from Sheffield, a total city girl, to Nonington in 1963-66. It was such a beautiful place and I still have so many good friends from that era. My nickname was Peasa, given to me by Ann Clingan (1960-63) and at age 64 I still have emails addressed to me as that. Sunbathing in the Dell, sledding down the terrace on tin trays are just some of the memories I shall treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you for this site and I hope that the College is restored one day to its former glory. Emigrated in 1997 and this site just made me 19 again. |

| Message | Well it seems the website doesn't see many guests! I signed in on 28th June 09 and no one has been there since. I did come across another Nonington site when I put in 'co.uk' by mistake. However that informed me that there were no entries concerning the Church in Nonington - whatever has happened to St. Mary's Parish Church, now referred to as Nonington Chapel? I'm very sad indeed. | Message | Hello again! This really is the first lady Vicar of Nonington!! Thank you Barry for your letter of apology and Sheila for your kind words in the Magazine. What an amazing coincidence that the day the Mag. was delivered I walked into your garden with David after the Pentecost Eucharist at Adisham. I'm sorry that there were so few Nonington folk at Adisham, but I guess there were many preparations in hand for Anna Willett's wedding. No doubt that was a lovely occasion. We hope to make another visit sooner rather than later, so hopefully we'll see more of you then. Seeing Nonington, and meeting with the Aylesham and Adisham folk made me wish that I was still there with you all. Many Blessings be on you all. Valerie Perry. |

| Message |  hello there found this web site while crusing looking for info on the college and town. It is fantastic to read that Nonington College had such a lasting impact on anyone who was privileged enough to attend it. I met my husband, Simon Samsworth there and my sister Mandy Dunne attended Nonington also. We keep up with news from former students but are looking for a contact for John Wright a lecturer of the highest calibre that has shaped our teaching careers and lives and we want to make contact with him and thank him after nearly 27 years! better late than never. If someone reading this can contact us with an address for him or email that would be great. We have two beautiful girls (13 and 11) and get back to the U.K. and Ireland every summer to see family and often wind our way to Nonington to show our children the place that played such an important role in their mum and dad's life!Looking forward to our next visit in July.  |

| Message | I have just found that my 3xgreatgran Sarah Bentley was born in Nonnington in 1795. She was daughter of Edward & Mary. Sarah married Henry Wall and lived in Sandwich where she was local midwife. I would love to know if there are any Bentley or Wall descendants out there. I will be visiting this village as soon as I can to look for graves in the churchyard.In the meantime I will look at the website with interest. |

| Message | Oh! what a fantastic picture of Nonington early on a misty morning. It brought back such wonderful memories for my husband and I. We attended Nonington College from 1979-1982 and remember that view so clearly. I lived in "Old Court" and old house owned by the college where a select few were housed for the year and then I moved into the college for my second year. My sister Mandy also attended the college and as many of your visitors to the web the village and college helped shape us into the people we are today. I was also lucky to fall head over heals in love there and married Simon Samsworth years later and we now have two beautiful girls (11 and 13)are we are both still in education in Oakville Ontario. I agree with the previous entries re the college it would be lovely to have an area on the web devoted to the college so the students could give feedback to the village/college on how vital a part it played in developing all of us who were privileged enough to attend such a wonderful educational estabilishment.We get back to the U.K. each summer as Simon's parents live in Herne Bay and have visited the college...what a shame it was sold it would have made an ideal conference and spa resort!Such is life. | Message | I was at Nonington College from 1982 - 1985, and I look back on it with enormous pleasure - when I think I could have ended up in some faceless city university and been none the wiser! I loved the lanes and fields, I loved the history of the big house, and I've been back, regular as clockwork, to Kent - Thanet, Canterbury, Sandwich, Dover - ever since. Nonington seems so much the same as I remember it, unlike just about every other place I remember with fondness, that has since been ruined by roads or new estates. I've had a twenty-five-year love-affair with Kent, thanks to Nonington. Long may it continue. |
