MessageImagine my delight in finding this site. I served at K.I. Sawyer from April 1984 through December 1991 in the 410 Security Police Squadron. Would love to hear from some of the guys I served with. Currently living in Ohio & plan on a camping trip to the U.P. next summer to show the kids the area. My 2 daughters were born on K.I. Sawyer AFB but were too young to remember any of it. The U.P. is such a wonderful area & I miss it badly.

MessageIt's been a year since I first signed in and haven't seen any notes from any SP's that I knew. Served from 78-86. Hope to revisit the UP soon. As with everyone else, had some great memories. Has anyone thought of collected some of the stories and putting them in book form? I know I'd love reading it. Have a few myself that only those who served up there would probably appreciate.

MessageI was stationed at KI from January 1977 to June 1979. I was attached to the 410th Field Maintenance Squadron and worked in the NDI Lab. It would really be nice to hear from some of the old gang.

MessageI was in 56 CAMRON AGE from Feb. 1961 to May 1964. Went back to see the base the yr it closed and they would not let me on? Looking for Herman Douglas who married Cookie and stayed in Marquette. Also Butch Tweet from Tenn. and Sam Marcel from La. both worked the flightline. Also any of the other guys that were in AGE those yrs. Jim Bragg put together a reunion for those he could find and we would like to hear from all that were there '61 - '64. Nice Site. Would like to see some 56 FIS patches. After all we did get SPIKE drunk at the squadron party!

MessageLooking for folks that was with the 410th SPS, from 1974 to 1975. Had to leave to go to Korea. Sawyer was a wonderful base. I spent most of my time as a Entry Controller at WSA while I was there. I visited the base in September 2006 and planning another trip up soon. I am from Macon Georgia, not many southern boys was up there. Help me find some old friends. Thanks. smilie
