MessageI was assigned with the 410 OMS Bomber Branch From Nov.1978 to Aug.1982. KI was my first assignment and I loved every minute that I was there. I lived in Gwinn and still consider it my home.I took my family there last summer and had tons of great memories. Was sad when I heard KI was closed but was glad to see the ol place still has some life as the airport. Thanks for the memories!

MessageWas in the 410 SPS from 77 - 84 then on to Malmstrom AFB, Montana(another great assignment). Went through 3 grades from SSgt to MSgt and my B.S. from NMU. I loved this base. Was on "B" Flt Security when I left. Lots of friends: Scott Ross, Mike Burbey, Neal Campbell, Dave Hutchinson, Gary Simon, Scott Ritter - and the list goes on. Was on Giant Sword for a year and the Rifle/Pistol team with Lt Murphy. Bob Thorne and I got kinda wasted and did some more target practice. What a hoot!

MessageI was born at K.I Sawyer AFB and spent most of my childhood there until my dad became a recruiter and we had to move to WI. I miss the sounds of the planes flying over every day. Even thou it closed it will forever be my home and I'm proud to have lived there.

MessageI was stationed at K.I. fom may61 to july 65. I was in the 410th bomb wing OMS. I was on the ground crew of 60-036 and 60-042. I worked up to asst cc on 60-036. Anyone who was there at that time give me a howdy shout. Tom
