Would be thrilled to hear from Tillman, Anderson, Havens, Leadbetter, Hughes, Huth/Hooter, MacDonald
Fond memories include:
Pig roasts at Little Lake;
The day when snowfall was measured in feet and the Alert Pad was closed, no power, and getting rescued by pilots on snowmobiles! How cool! Riding down 553 dodging the speed limit signs that where protruding only a few feet above the snow!;
Getting arrested at Tyndall on the last night of William Tell for swimming in the base pool at 2a.m. Which caused us to be known as "The 87th FIS Olympic Swim Team";
Camping on an island in Michigamme Reservoir;
Jodie <3
Maximum Sorte Day!! Those were the BEST!!!;
Elephant Walks!;
Just to name a few!
Loved serving the greatest country in the history of mankind with so many amazing men and women!
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Num 6:24-26

MessageMy dad was M/Sgt William Maxwell Jr. (Bill) We lived on Commando and Savage Streets from 1963 to 1968. I went to Gwinn schools from 7th grade thru 11th grade and then we were off to Anderson AFB Guam. Good times and memories and hundreds of tons of snow shoveled.

Messagelived there 66-69 AF brat, T/Sgt R. Zais senior controller, 62nd FIS. then he went to Nam 68-69, we stayed on base. Had the woods as my backyard at
325 Skybolt.
Remember the aurora borealis lighting up the woods 1 night, looking out my back window, what a sight! Do any of you remember the forest fire of "69"?Came up close to McDonald school, burned 1000s of acres all the way to Gwinn. It was black all the way to school from the base.
