| Message | Ms. Kelly, I've just watched "American Violet" and I was totally moved. I can't imagine what it must have felt like to go thru what you went thru. I'm so proud of you as a black woman, for standing up for your rights; for our rights! Having alot of college education really means nothing if you can't use it. Its about experience, and the people who tried to knock you off your feet will never have the experience of being a single, black mother with 3/4 children to raise. I am just so happy that you made it thru that ordeal and it was by the grace of our God. Please keep doing what you are doing. Don't slow down, continue to educate black america of how people are getting over on us and continue educating white america letting them know that we are not bad, uneducated, lazy people. If you're ever in north florida, I'm sure the many students at FSU and FAMU would love for you to share your story and knowledge. Thank you sister. |
