| Message | Im here to say THANKS for your fight back. Im from a small Est Texas town myself, (not anymore) but I can relate to every step in the movie. Just this last year there was a dragging of a Black Male behind a pickup truck, and they know whom the guys are, but not convicted. A town that is still separated by rail road tracks and not one positive business on the have-nots side. I have a story that is first time ever told from my mouth, right now. Something that happened to me by the local Pol/Dep.. Long story short, I was beaten down like a dog. All because a there was a rumor that a popular girl (white girl) that had the likes of myself. So there was a pre-warning given to me that evening by the good old boys. I had a choice then to go to the police and make my claim but how can I do that when they were cops themselves. trust me, this is not unheard; "racial attacks" on blacks in this town. I wished I was you and didnt coward out and maybe I could have received the help and change thing in that town. I have only been back in my home town at most 5 times in the last 15 years and still nothing changed. Thanks for the story once again, and I cant believe that all what happen that DA is still in office today. Especially when those issues are still going on there, thats just messed up. Good luck |
