MessageI heard of this movie on NPR Chicago (I think) when it came out. I saw the movie today and was moved by it. I checked to see how true the producers were to the actual event and found out it was pretty accurate. I have to give it to you Regina, you represent what I refer to as 'strong' individual - I do not use that word frequently. You fought for what you knew was right even when it was inconvient to you and that's not even the strong part. After your case was dismissed, you could have gone back to your life and moved on.. but because justice was not served merely because the cases were dropped; you continued to fight. If I had a hat on, I'd tip it for you. You are a hero. I wish you and your four daughters the best in life. I hope your kids and mine never encounter such injustice from a very powerful but unjust system or person. Good luck. Love from Chicago.

MessageI watched your story for the second time tonight. I am always so moved by your strength. You have truly stood the test and overcome. One thing that continues to puzzle me is why the people in continue to vote for the DA knwoing that he is an evil man driven by hate. I just pray God continues to stengthen you and your children...

MessageDear Regina,
I just watched the movie they made about your experience on BET. It moved me to learn more about the terrible injustice that was done to you and so many others. I live in Tn. and despite what everyone says racism is alive and well in America even in 2010. You are a brave women and I am glad that you had the strength to stand up for your rights. I wish you and your family the best and hope that you will be able to one day fully recover and triumph over the injustice that was done to you. Stay Strong!
smilie

MessageI just watched your movie American Voilet May-2010. You are a true inspiration. I pray that God continues the fight in you for the justice of those wrongfully convicted. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Remember God says you reap what you sow, and the DA in your case will have his judgement before God. May the Lord bless you and your family always, My prayers are with you and your family.
