MessageGood evening,
Just finished watching "American Violet" and it was a touching movie. The amazing part was it wasn't just a movie, it was and is your life. I applaud you on your strength and pray your strength. As you know this situation continues to happen daily, especially to the African-American community. There was no prevention in your case and the real prevention is using our given rights to vote. It is our duty to be aware of the "rules and regulations" used in order to speak on them. May your story give you and your family hope and the courage to continue fighting.

MessageI am watching the movie on BET right now and I am so pissed, I do not like fictitious movies where someone is wrongly convicted of something they didn't do,and to know this happened to people in real-life just proves we have a long way to go in America. This really angers me , to the point of tears.I am glad I caught this on BET tonight because it was not advertised to air.The saddest part I have never heard of this case happening, this should have been on every national news network, but of course it wasn't. This I know, you reap what you sow and that "DA" will pay for the crimes he committed against all those people he knew was innocent.people do evil things here on earth and think they got away with it,but the life after this is the one we should be worried about and GOD being a just GOD will take care of all the people involved in this injustice. We will all have to answer for everything we've done, and I wonder what he will say.

MessageHi Regina,

I applaud your courage. You have touched so many. Perhaps this outreach could create a network of participants for your cause.
It's certainly heartfelt to hear positive responses, but so much better to act as you were compelled to do with support and a genuine concern for all things right. We should all become advocates to regain our integrity and moral fortitude. I look forward to your book. You are amazing!!!

Thank you

MessageRegina, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Your experience is one that does, but should never happen today.
I know the situation you refer to. Forever will I pray for you, and hope your life could return to as normal a life as possible.
May the God that I serve keep you secure and protected in His hands for all time. Prayers have power, and God is love and strength.
Take very good care of yourself.

MessageHi Regina:

Your story of great courage and seeking righteousness inspired me so much that I wrote about you in my monthly message for our church magazine. The piece is called "TRUE LIES" and it deals with wrongful incarceration of Joseph in the Old Testament Genesis)and YOU! It speaks of how there is a great purpose derived from individual pain. I look forward to reading your book. I pray things are better for you and your family.

God Bless you,

MessageI have a son that just got picked up n a situation with the police and I can prove that he was n school with the attendance and all of the staff at his high school which he would b graduating next month June 2010. My son just turned 18yrs and had never been in any kind Of trouble in his life. But I guess just living in Oakland CA with all of this violence going on with our youth every one of them are suspects. I'm a mother of 12 children and its been a struggle doing it all by my self. With 1 that just graduated from beauty college and one graduation next month from medical billing and coding. I'm also a grandmother, but I didn't mention that I have 2 granddaughters one that belong to my son who's been trying to do the right thing but became victim to the police. All I'm looking for is some advice to help me through this storm.
