Messagehi Tarquin Blake love your work getting your book in a few days, also in castletown in celbridge great pics and storeys. Just a quick question, ive always wanted to see the inside of the fort in the phonix park in dublin and thanks to you ive seen it,but id also like to see it in the flesh,as im into photography, and photographing old buildings is my first interest, but id like to know how you got in there, did you get the key or climb the wall, dont mean to sound cheeky, but would love for you to say yes i did get the key, then theres a chance that i may get in there other than that i dont think ill be climbing any walls......... if you can let me know GREAT, if you cant im sure theirs a reason why thanks Tarquin

MessageHello! I was at Castletown House today- I went specifically to see your pictures and thought that they were great. I especially liked the commentaries that went with them- I could see the fun you had trying to dodge Alfonsis the Donkey! I'm going to go back in a couple of weeks with a chum, and will probably buy a copy of the book then (after payday!) Very atmpospheric pics, a wonderfully thoughtful project, documenting Ireland's once great houses.

MessageReally liked your photos. I find it quite fascinating when it seems like people just decided to leave one day. Leaving furniture and all. Would have loved to see your exhibition but since I live in Sweden and wont be visiting Ireland this spring I was wondering if you have any plans of having any exhibitions this summer?

Best regards
Ingela

T.B> Thanks Ingela. I also recommend you to get my book 'Abandoned Mansions of Ireland' which is much better than my website. Yes, after Castletown my exhib is going on display at the James Hardiman Library at NUI Galway for May and June then to Kinsale Arts Week for July 9 to 17.
