MessageWhat fantastic work! My eyes are computer weary but I am so glad I had nothing else to do today. I could pick through each set of these photos for hours on end. I love your straightforward approach with your narrative. Your images are stunning, it's like every day of their history is palpable in every shot. Like you've layered years and stories in thin opaque sheets on top of one another. I don't normally feel compelled to comment on sites like this but as I was planning renovations in my mind while looking at some of those churches, well, I ran across your caption talking about how you do the same. It made me laugh and I wished I was actually talking with you across the table. So you could answer all of the questions I wanted to ask...tell me what it sounded like, what it smelled like. So, anyway, thank you for this. I've barely scratched the surface here and will be back. Thanks, really.

MessageYour work is breathtaking. Although my family's roots are in Ireland, until now I've not had a burning desire to see it.
Bravo!

MessageHello!

Fascinating site- Was in Ireland in the Fall and seem to be captivated & drawn to the island. Would you happen to know of any of these estates being offered for sale?

Thank you!
Karen

MessageReceive your fine tome today and didn't put it down until I had finished it....Great photography, well written....It's a wonder our paths did not cross as I was running about the country side photographing the very same things you were. Glad I found you site and purchased your book for my library....looking forward to your next venture.

MessageHi Tarquin,
Firstly well done on the website, I've spend many the hour going through every page.
I'm a huge fan of old architecture.
I was wonder if you could send me on some information about the haunted house in Clare.
I'm from Clare myself and would love to learn more about my local history, and to be honest when you describe it in such a cryptic manner "Some stories are better not told" you really sparked my interest.

If you know the story behind it or when I can find out about the house I'd love to know myself.

Thanks for your time,
Mike.

MessageJust returned home from another trip to lovely Kinsale and had to see how the building works are developing at the Convent of Mercy. Well, no work has been done for two or three years apparently, it is so sad, why could the gardens not have been left and landscaped, instead of three rows of terraced houses built far too close together, unfinished and abandoned, possibly just the convent should have been refurbished into apartments. The whole place looks like a bomb site, perhaps it is Karma. A beautiful structure completely ruined. Your photographs are beautiful, wistful and sad. I will be buying your book. Kindest regards.
