| Message | A truly beautiful set of pictures that was pointed out to me by a friend in New Zealand. However did you start on such a project, I cannot begin to imagine, but it must have been such an adventure to discover all these amazing buildings in their various states of decay or restoration. I shall certainly be trying to get hold of a copy of your book. It's such a shame that so many great buildings lie empty and are in such disrepair, but I suppose it does lend a certain charm as well. All I can sum up with is ....Fantastic! |

| Message | Love this site! Just found it this morning - currently obsessed with the "houses of county Wexford" book (eithna scallon I think)- this is a fab site to have open at the same time! Are all the record you refer to - land registries etc online? Is it ok to show the site to my history students - I teach junior and leaving cert history. I find the abandoned cottages section intriguing.... What happened to these people, what were their hope and dreams? Surely a book or film in it! Out to look for your book now! Linda Rogers |
