MessageI came upon your book and site by accident and how lucky am I! What a fascinating project and how important as well. I will spread the word about your book via my columns, The Irish Connection at HollywoodTodaynet and the Dubliners Daughter at emigrantie as well as the two California Irish monthly newspapers, the Irish Herald in San Francisco and the Irish News & Entertainment publication. Thank you for your hard work.

MessageA truly beautiful set of pictures that was pointed out to me by a friend in New Zealand. However did you start on such a project, I cannot begin to imagine, but it must have been such an adventure to discover all these amazing buildings in their various states of decay or restoration. I shall certainly be trying to get hold of a copy of your book. It's such a shame that so many great buildings lie empty and are in such disrepair, but I suppose it does lend a certain charm as well.
All I can sum up with is ....Fantastic!

MessageHi there,

Absolutely love the photos and the descriptions, nice to see some IR work too smilie.

One thing to note, could you fix the navigation so the bar stays on the left hand side, rather than dissapearing as soon as I click on a link!

Thanks!

Pete.

MessageLove this site! Just found it this morning - currently obsessed with the "houses of county Wexford" book (eithna scallon I think)- this is a fab site to have open at the same time! Are all the record you refer to - land registries etc online? Is it ok to show the site to my history students - I teach junior and leaving cert history. I find the abandoned cottages section intriguing.... What happened to these people, what were their hope and dreams? Surely a book or film in it!
Out to look for your book now!
