MessageLast year I visited Ireland and while driving I came upon an abandon house I believe to be located in either Cork County or Kerry County. However, I did not see it on your lists. It is relatively small compared to the ones you've listed but all the same I was hoping you could give me more insight to this property. Please contact me for a picture. Thanks!

MessageDear Tarquin

I recently stumbled across your website and found myself spending hours looking though it, you have done some lovely work and I’m sure I will be spending plenty more time looking though it. The next time I’m in the book centre in Waterford I’ll be looking out for your publications. I was also thinking of visiting a few of the properties in the Waterford / Kilkenny area, some of which I am familiar with - I was just wondering, is there a need to get permission from the owners, or is a case of just being discrete and leaving nothing but your foot prints! Also, did you ever consider photographing / documenting a few of our more recently abandoned buildings, what comes to mind is Jurys Hotel in Waterford, it probably made for better photos before it was clad in metal sheeting to keep the vandals out and prevent it from being burnt down. I probably have a few photos of Jurys before it was boarded up if they would be interest to you. Another Waterford one is the R & H Hall mill at the north quays in Waterford and its associated industrial buildings, its not unlike the Bolands Mill in Dublin.
Anyway keep up the great work, its really interesting.

Kind regards

Declan

MessageHi
Enjoyed your talk today in Waterford. Came across your website about a year ago so was delighted to see your talk listed in the writers weekend brochure. Your photographs are very special.

MessageI came to your site after surfing Google Earth and seeing your link...My heart aches for those poor people...can you let me know the rest of the story? Was anyone held accountable for the atrocious way the patients were treated? Are there any surviving patients that have gotten proper care and counsel? Thank you for bringing this to light. I hope and pray that there suffering will not be in vain and that proper regulations and accountability have been put in place so this never happens again...in His service,
Sandy smilie
